Publisher's Summary

"Alexandra Scott, Alaskan Wilderness Woman". It had a terrific ring to it, but Alex felt a sudden twinge of uncertainty. She'd traded in her Wall Street job and fancy condo for a rundown cabin in the woods and a bait and tackle store. She'd wanted to escape the rat race and to go husband hunting where men outnumbered women four to one, but was she ready for the challenge?

Then she spotted Michael Casey, a sexy pilot who was undaunted by disaster, had hero written all over him, and was a confirmed bachelor. Michael Casey was the man she had come to Alaska to hunt, and Alexandra Scott had him in her sights.

Lots of Fun

This is an incredibly fun romp. Jersey girl goes to Alaska to find a husband with her overweight dog. Ends up meeting the man of her dreams. However, needs to live in cabin with an outhouse to prove it.

This is a light, laugh a minute story that will leave cars next to you wondering what you're smiling about.

Strongly recommended to all Evanowich fans. This is BY FAR the best of her earlier works. It has the same witty dialog that makes her current books so popular.

Not a great story

I've read a lot of her books and did not enjoy this book at all. It's almost like the author writes the same romance stories but uses different characters and names. I'll still read her books, but will be more careful what books I buy.

Worst book to date.

I have been a member of Audible for over a year, and purchased many, many books. This one was a true waste. Although the reviews for this book were not good, I wanted a mindless story and the price was right, but as it turned out this story was less than mindless. The plot and characters are totally ridiculous and the reader was even worse. Save your money.

Funny

Predictable but very funny book read by C. J. Critt. We found ourselves laughing out loud at the antics of the various characters. If you like the Stephanie Plum books you will certainly like this earlier book by Janet Evanovich.

Narrator Too Theatrical

The narrator reads this book like an old episode of I Love Lucy. It would’ve been a 5 star for sure if it was read like that.

Wonderful Characters and Delightful Story

What a joy. I just loved the characters, the dialogue and the story. I'll listen to more Evanovich.

Alaskan Bush Babe

City living to mountain survival or”roughing it”.Life isn’t simpler in mountain living.Using an outhouse in any weather, grow, catch and kill your own food.Isolation.A guy would have to be really something for me to rough it like that.Love my modern conveniences.Story was cute and entertaining.

Manhunt

I absolutely love this audio! I loved hearing about Alex and Casey. Casey had to fix her tent, and she was worried about having no hairdryer. I laughed so hard when she pulled out the mattress that had all the rats in it. I think Casey has been in love with her since the moment they met. He was always watching her to make sure she was home safe, driving by the store to make sure her car was there. What a wonderful story. When she put her out house on fire, and rolled in the snow to put out the fire. I was worried. I am so happy that they are going to get married. I absolutely loved this audio Manhunt. Next, Hot Stuff!

How did I miss that this book is old. Yawn what a boring book. the narrator sounds like she's 60. it's supposed to be a young woman in the book right?

This must have been one of Janet's first book

I'm a huge Janet Evanovich fan! This is by far the worst book I've purchased. The story was predictable and very slow.

The narrator had the tone of voice you'd use to rad a book to an audience of 5 year olds.

Don't waste your money or time on this one.
