Really enjoyed the book

I really enjoyed the book but they should have had a man narrate the men's voices.

Fantastic

I read this most likely in 2004. Twenty years later I listened to this on audio and loved it. I had forgotten the plot so it was all fresh. The narrator does a marvellous narration, with perfect comedic timing

Creative dialog

Smart subtext interwoven throughout. I had to pay more attention than usual but it didnt disappoint. I really enjoyed the crazy, over the top sarcasm.

One of my favorite stories ever

Love the southern bell stories with a lot of witty Snark and dry, quit undertone. I think I read the story once every other year.

Enjoyable southern romance

I really prefer romance stories with older adults, as opposed to 20-somethings. I enjoyed the old southern house and town as the backdrop, and the southern snooty sarcasm in the dialog. This was a fun book.

Mississippi girl my self!

This book was perfect to listen to on a long ride… 2nd listen with my husband, whom enjoyed just as much. I would love to find another!

Fun book, lots of funny moments. Also moments of reflection on things that happen when we’re young that shape our lives. Great story and narration!

Quirky banter

Loved the all the main characters… covers topics of bullying, jealousy, love, and forgiveness.. I really enjoyed this story, but really loved the quick witt and sarcasm. Made it fun to listen to.

Love this book and all the characters. Not your typical romance which made it amazing! Narrator was fantastic!!

This might top my favorite book list

As a Southern lady myself we are constantly portrayed wrong in books. She has all the elements In this book. I merely bought the hard cover for my personal collection
