Ever had ex-housemates you can't get rid of?

When Killian and the rest of the Drake vampires kicked me out of their mansion without any explanation, I felt beyond betrayed.

I was livid!

But I refused to waste my energy thinking about them. Thanks to all the free training I got while living with vampires, I had the skills I needed to finally free my family. I even got my house back! Best yet, I can pass on the magic techniques and fighting skills I've learned to all the wizards in our group.

As long as I ignore the rotating vampires standing watch on the corner across the street, life is normal again...until the fae risk injuring hundreds of supernaturals just to stage a surprise attack on Killian

There's no way I'm going to let the fae get away with this. I may be furious with Killian, but I hate bullies even more.

But, big surprise, my good deed won't go unpunished. I knew I'd face a fallout for saving the most feared and lethal vampire in the Midwest - I just never imaged the lengths Killian would go through to protect me and win me back...

Magic Unleashed is the final book in the Hall of Blood and Mercy trilogy, which takes place in the Magiford Supernatural City universe. It features vampires, wizards, fae, and werewolves! This trilogy is packed with humor, adventure, and a sweet, slow burn romance between a vertically challenged wizard and the deadliest vampire in town.

Great story, but….

It’s a little jarring to hear the change in narrators that happen occasionally. But the story is wonderful

Fantastic ending!

Wonderful wrap up to all things and I was able to hear more from the narrator Alister Austin. Both were fantastic and brought the characters to life. The authors words paired with the narrators really helped me dive into the world of Magiford. I will definitely be seeking more books from K. M. Shea.
Again, well worth the credit in my opinion.

Fun, Thrilling Conclusion!!

A fun, thrilling conclusion to the series!
Hazel and the Drake family are surviving post break up, with Hazel chasing the watchful vampires off the street when she sees them. She starts training up her wizards and starts embracing malicious compliance to wizarding laws by overwhelming the poor secretaries with complaints lodged against the houses who stood against her during her cousin's coup.
It was fun having Killian try to apologize and get back in Hazel's good graces! It was nice growth in their relationship. Throw in some parties, a sad Paragon, and the pesky Night Court, and that all leads to a fun story.
It's a fun listen, with plenty of action and apologies and a good conclusion to a wonderful series!

Note: There is more violence in this book, but it's not gratuitous, so I think it's still ok for all ages. Plus, there's one actual swear word.
This is the third book in the series and the previous two must be read/listened to prior to reading/listening to this one. You will be lost if you try to start at this book.

The same narrators are with this one as the previous two and they do a good job! It is dual narrated, with the female narrator voicing all the female chapter and the male voicing all the male chapters. I listened at 1.1x speed.

Great story as both a read and a listen

K.M. Shea is one of my all time favorite writers, and her books work wonderfully whether read or as an audiobook. The narrators are good - Ms Duke’s voice and performance were exactly how I imagined Hazel. Mr Austin’s voice was also exactly what I expected of Killian, but unfortunately his accent seemed to slide between quasi-British and almost Australian. Other than that, I absolutely loved all 3 audiobooks in this series!

Wonderful!

K. M. Shea always manages to wrap up her series with a rousing finale, and this was no exception. Fantastic ending that hit all the feels ❤️. I hope she has more of her works put on audible!

Such a good clean romance! I enjoyed it - I feel like my teen daughter could enjoy it too (something rarely found these days)

The best

This was the best series. I really loved it and it was totally clean without skimping on the romance.
