Sexy mafia story

This was a long audiobook to get through. A few times it did seem to drag in a some spots. But overall I did like the story. I loved how Massimos love for Olivia never wavered. Some might think obsessive but I liked it. This story did have hot, sexy times. And I do mean hot. I think you could listen (or read) this as a standalone but to understand some of the other brothers issues from past books I think it would be best to listen in order. I will definitely go to the beginning of series and start from there. And the narrators, you can never go wrong with Sebastian York or Mackenzie Cartwright.

I don't like to pick favourites but Massimo Sorvano is my favourite Sorvano brother and you will have to listen to it for yourself to find out why.Olivia (Via) is a compelling character who gives Massimo a run for his money. I loved her. Highly striking moments and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ones too.The writing style is captivating and keeps you craving more. So much passion, tons of witty banter and smexyness. Absolutely love the storyline with its multi-twists.
Excellent series. Cannot wait for more. Highly recommend.

Sebastian York, Mackenzie Cartwright dual narration was eloquently performed. Sebastian's unique inflection gave Massimo’s character the right dash of deep tone. Mackenzie Cartwright vividly encases Olivia's character and becomes her. Her inflection is confident and sweetly entertaining.

Love the narration and the story.

Star-crossed mafia lovers

Enjoyed dark possessive Massimo’s love story with beautiful sassy Olivia who goes up against him in witty banter and hot sexy passion! Mackenzie Cartwright is a perfect Via, loved her narration. I think Sebastian York choice for authentic Mafia character but i really wish it was a duet narration not a dual since Sebyo’s female voice just doesnt work for me. L.Steele combines exciting plot twists, heartfelt moments and sexy love scenes and kept me engaged from start to finish !

Explosive!!!!!

Mysterious, complex Massimo. Things would never be simple of course the woman he wants makes things difficult which lands him into the fire. An arranged marriage just to fulfill his Nonna's wish and guess who he is suppose to marry. Of course the little sister of the the women he wants. Go figure and that's when all the pieces fall apart because of course a Sovrano don't let go of the women they want so easily. This is one of my favorite stories in the series because of all the pieces of the family coming together and coming to a head. The narrators was awesome. The male voice was great for Massimo. The female narrator was good just didn't think she was a perfect fit for the lead female character. But overall a great book.

Good not great

The narrators were awesome. I loved Mossimo, his character was developed really well. But Olivia was so annoying, entitled and whining all the time. I had could hardly listen to her pity party any longer.

Right I have to admit that I really did like this book and I truly believe you will too!!

BUT......

I got so fed up on Olivia's constant moaning and griping, about the fact that she wants to carry on acting. I love any woman who wishes to maintain their identity, as well as following her dreams.

However it's all she says on every page, (ok slight exaggeration there!!) Even after she's married and Massimo follows her to London, just so she can carry on chasing her dreams, she's still b*tching about it!!

FFS woman he's not once said that you can't carry on and even though he does everything to ensure your happiness, she's screaming out yet again, "I need my own identity and want to pursue acting!!" Gesü Christo!!!!It

But guess what.....

Seb is no longer the second oldest of all seven, marking him as Massimo's second oldest brother, as he's now....apparently Massimo's younger brother.....did anyone else notice that??

You didn't?? Not to worry and sorry for bringing it up right now, Che Cazzo!! Lol

But if you don't mind Olivia being a moaning ninny, you'll find this book is great. Although truth be told, I'd have preferred more written about Alvaro and made more of an issue and more lethality with the interactions with the Sovrano brothers.

It just didn't grab me as believable if I'm honest!! It felt like the author couldn't really be bothered with him. As either the bad doing and things, OR a really seriously and buy doing more despicable and deplorable things!!

The narration side is by two fantastic narrator's, Sebastian York and Mackenzie Cartwright, whom I've always thoroughly enjoyed listening to them!!

The only issue is that Sebastian kept doing a mild Italian accent, when doing Olivia's voice, even after stating how Massimo thought she was American due to having an American accent!! So that was the only issue as far as their portrayals of each of the characters.

So when it comes to both audio and reading the book, at the same time.....I would truly and completely fully, and without a doubt recommend!! I only gave this four stars due to the slight annoyance of Olivia and the siblings positional line-up 🙈🙉🙈🙉

My first book in this series.
I like L. Steele's style and enjoyed listening to the story a lot. The narrators too did a fantastic job.

Massimo and Olivia fit together perfectly. Their story is a whirlwind of drama, action, and full of emotions.

I love this series

These characters give so much to us as readers/listeners. With a gripping storyline and so much chemistry between them I was hooked. An absolutely brilliant performance from both Mackenzie and Sebastian.

Awful British and Italian accent

I really tried to listen to this book. I loved the female narration but I can’t understand why SebYo was doing an Italian accent for the women when the women spoke with an American accent. I love him but he can’t do a good English accent.
