Interesting dark Mafia Romance

I did enjoy this story. Some men are stubborn beyond reason and it seems these Alpha males are definitely without reason sometimes. If you like twisty, dark and spicy Mafia stories then you'll enjoy this too.

Dante Claims his Bride

Mafia Boss’s Surprise Baby is an emotionally riveting tale with complex main characters, stunning supporting characters, and the intense world of the mafia lifestyle. The female lead Mia is essentially the spoiled, sometimes clueless daughter of a mafia boss, who has been hopelessly pining after the mafia boss of a rival family who saved her life when she was a teen. Chaos ensues in both their worlds when male main character Dante takes her as his bride for less than honorable reasons, and watching them navigate the trials and pitfalls is by turns hilarious, intense, and frustrating. The author has woven an interesting plot with some surprises along the way; this is an entertaining listening experience.

The narrators voices are both relaxing to listen to; male narrator Ryder does a wonderful job of bringing an angry and resentful Dante to audio life. Female narrator Serena plays the role of an immature and selfish young woman well, though there are times when her inflection doesn’t feel like it matches the emotions of the situation at hand.

Dante and Mia

Dante believes that Mia's father Luca Lorenzo killed his father and mother. He plots a revenge of marrying the daughter and then getting rid of Luca. What he does not count on, is Mia herself and how he feels about her. Mia has been in love with Dante since he rescued her when she was seventeen.

Dante has no intention of falling in love with his wife but she makes it hard not to. Will he chose his revenge against her father or his wife?

Age Gap Romance, Italian Mafia

Age Gap Romance, Italian Mafia. The storyline was a good read. I bought the Audible edition of this book. Wasn’t 100% in love with the way the actress voice comes across. I feel she read it the same tone through out the book. I would recommend the actual book and kindle over audible.

Mia and Dante

Mafia romance is my absolute favorite and this was an age gap, arranged mafia marriage where Dante had no plans to fall for Mia. Fate had other plans for them. Although it was his father's wish for him to marry her, Dante had his own agenda. Mia was much younger than Dante but came from the same world. She did some really stupid things to get herself in trouble. To me, Dante did not come across as a strong mafia boss. There was romance as well as suspense in the book. This is my first Kira Cole book and I found it enjoyable. I did not care for Ryder Wolfe's narration, but enjoyed Serena Moon's performance. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Narrator needs improvement

The plot is good but the narrator ruins the story for me. It is hard for me to fully immerse myself in the story when the narrator sounds like he is quickly reading a bedtime story to a child for the first time.

Intrigued with a suggestion to improve the narrating of the authors mind blowing story/work

I love the story. My only dislike was the slow reading of the female character. Also I disliked when she would narrate some of the male parts. It took away from the strong male character. The writing, story telling of the male narrator were absolutely astounding; so much so I just purchased and downloaded another book by this author.

ARC Review

Mafia is life for the MMC in this story. He marries his enemies daughter only to come to care for her and wish things were different... But what if things weren't what he thinks.

The narration was on point and the story line was fantastic. This was definitely a great read

Decent

The story itself was decent in general but the narration was not good. The female character was immature and way too mistrusting for someone she was supposedly in love with but the narrator made it worse. Also, I don’t think she read the punctuation well as she made so serious parts sound like a joke. The male voice was ok but still not that great, almost like he was trying too hard to portray a mafia man. Also, as for the his story role and this being a mafia book I think he was way too soft to be someone in charge of the mafia. Overall the story came together in the end but with the MFC constantly pushing for him to love her and the narration ruined it for me.

A good novel

Mafia Boss's Surprise Baby was a steamy enemy to lovers romance novel. For the most part I enjoyed the main characters, however I found Mia to be very whiny and acting spoiled.
