I would give it 4.5 starts if I could.

I've gained a lot of confidence and learned many new words and phrases. The only problem that I have is that occasionally they use the word they are defining to define the word. However, I'll listen again and have recommended it to others. I'm hooked.

Good book when you are ready for this level

Would you listen to The Complete Spanish Master again? Why?

Yes I will but I wasn't ready for this level yet. I will revisit this when I get a little better.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Lol, when I realized I was lost trying to listen to it...

Any additional comments?

I have taken some Spanish and know a little bit but I am not quite up to following along with a lot of full sentences yet. If you are at that level, this will be a good book to listen to. It has been several years for me so I will have to take some time to do a little more learning before I reach the level to follow along with this. Easy To Use & Rather Interesting Content

Where does The Complete Spanish Master rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my first audiobook, and I find it very helpful and easy to use.

Who was your favorite character and why?

n/a

Which character – as performed by Claudia R. Barrett and Rebecca María – was your favorite?

n/a

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, 5 hours is too long for one sitting, especially for a learning book. I prefer listening in smaller sittings to make sure I understand and retain everything.

Any additional comments?

I'll be searching for more language-learning audio books from this publisher.

***I was provided this audio book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Very useful tool

This was a very well written and thought out language book. The narrator was very easy to understand and follow. This book is great for students of the language who are a bit beyond the beginning phase and need a bit more to add to their education. I will definitely read/ listen from this author again.

I'm much more confident in my Spanish listening!

Would you listen to The Complete Spanish Master again? Why?

Yes: I always need more practice with listening comprehension.

What other book might you compare The Complete Spanish Master to and why?

Teach Yourself Complete Spanish, but much more advanced.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really liked the part with common idiomatic expressions. These can be hard to get a hang of if you don't practice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not suitable for a film, maybe a video series.

Any additional comments?

Thanks to this audio title, I'm able to understand most, if not all, of what I hear in Spanish conversation. I now practice with real native speakers with confidence. What you hear is real phrases used by real native speakers.

Great learning tool

As an intermediate Spanish speaker, I jumped at the chance to listen and review this audiobook. There are 36 different audio lessons, and the format contains a short article, some key phrases and vocabulary and comprehension questions during the first half of the audiobook.

I highly recommend this book because it does what it does very well. This really does work for intermediate students, perhaps advanced beginners as well. I have my default listening setting to play my audios faster than regular speed. Even when listening faster, everything was still easy to hear and comprehend.

The narrator of the Spanish section has a clear and non-distinct voice. She sounds professional like a news reader, but with a happy/light tone. The narrator on a book like this would make or break it, but I had no complaints at all.

My favorite part of the book was the keywords and phrases. They are Spanish defined with Spanish, and the listener is given example sentences in context. This is a HUGE thing to grow vocabulary. When I first got to intermediate level, I had difficulty with circumlocution, and now after listening to this audiobook, I feel much more confident in these topic areas.

I do recommend that the listener work through these stories at a slow and regular pace to avoid mental fatigue. When I tried listening to long sections all at once, I found that I wasn’t retaining as much as I’d hoped.

Useful and easy to use

The chapters are well broken up making it easy to go back to any areas you want to review. Good quality recording makes it an easy listen and helps the pronunciations stand out. A good audio for beginners and a good brush up for those who know some of the basics. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Easily the best product of this type I've found.

Everything is spoken in Spanish. Even the vocabulary sections describe new words with easy Spanish, the stories are simple but not too simple. The narration is pleasant unlike all the other 'Spanish stories' products I've listened to on Audible.
