Great if learning in the classroom isn't helping

This is a great audiobook to listen to if you struggle with learning Spanish verb conjugation in a typical classroom setting. It really helps immerse you in the language, so it’s right when it says that it will help you learn conjugation “with no memorization.” By hearing the narrator repeat conjugations several times, you will gradually start to understand the rules of conjugation just by being immersed within the language. However, I think it is definitely helpful if you already know a bit of Spanish. For example, you should know that “yo” means “I” and “tú” means “you (informal)”. If you do not know basic Spanish like this, you may end up getting a bit lost at times. As long as you have some basic knowledge of the rules of Spanish conjugation, this audiobook should help you develop a sort of “instinct” that quickly knows how to conjugate different Spanish verbs. Give it a shot if you struggle learning Spanish conjugation in the classroom!

Helps you "feel" Spanish verb conjugation

Great learning tool!!! This audiobook really takes advantage of our brain's ability to absorb information passively, almost “accidentally”. . .language courses have traditionally relied on giving students lists of words to memorize; this audiobook allows the student to hear the sound of the Spanish change as the pronouns change. This is a much more dynamic, interactive way of learning. We begin to use more of our intuition when trying to speak the language, rather than struggling to recall what we’ve memorized. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Great book, great teaching methods

What made the experience of listening to Spanish Verb Drills Mega Bundle the most enjoyable?

This book was really great. I took Spanish for many years in school, but have not spoken it in several years and am very out of practice. Out of everything, conjugation has always been the hardest for me because of the multiple forms verbs can take. The content of this book takes you through multiple forms of conjugation (present, past, and future tense, as well as conditional) in a very helpful way. By starting slowly, I was able to start to understand the tenses and as the instructor started speaking faster I was able to keep up. There were also pauses in the instruction for my own participation, which allowed me to speak the words out loud instead of just having them read to me in the same order. It forced me to really think about the concepts the instructor had been teaching, instead of just memorizing the correct verb form based on the order it was said by the instructor. After having listened to this book I am much more confident in my Spanish speaking ability. I would definitely recommend this product and am on the look out for any other language learning books from them!

This is the first language learning audiobook I have tried, and I am very happy to have chosen this one.

I have not listed to any of her other performances, but I would recommend her work to anyone looking to learn a new language or even just as a refresher.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

You could listen to this book in one sitting, but I would recommend using it over the course of time. I think this will help the listener learn better.

Thorough learning resource for beginners or practi

I have absolutely loved how detailed and comprehensive this audiobook has been. Frankly, conjugation was always the weakest area for me when learning the language through school or at home growing up. So many late nights pouring over note cards detailing the conjugation charts of the verbs that we were studying in school. However, this book here does away with that grueling need. Following along with the convenient pdf that comes with or sometimes even just having it on in the background has already greatly improved my conjugation and usage of verbs. The detail on each and every word taught here and the quizzes to practice along with are amazingly helpful and really go above and beyond what I’d expected at first glance.

I think it was great to hear Lucia pronounciate and repeat the words. It really helped confirm if I'm saying the words properly.
Lucia is a patient instructor and seemed personable. She had good voice fluctuation and intonation to keep things from sounding monotonous or getting boring.
The only thing I might recommend is maybe having a little more English definition or explanation of what each phrase means or how it is used.

A Great Way to Acquire Verb Conjugations

I read a review that said the instructor's voice was "harsh, rapid-fire, and monotone". That almost deterred me from buying the book.

Nothing is further from reality. The speaker has a very pleasant native-sounding voice. (Who knows? Maybe the reviewer prefers sing-song voices.)

She takes you through the conjugations of 12 common verbs and their 9 different tenses, which covers 90% of all verb conjugations. She begins slowly and deliberately, and then increases the pace to normal speech patterns. Hearing the words in what some may call "rapid-fire", helps to train one's ear to normal Spanish speech patterns.

She starts in order (1st through 3rd person singular, and then 1st through 3rd person plural), and then quizzes in random order.

There's also an accompanying PDF, but I couldn't find it in my library. So I'll need to send off an email as she suggests at the start of the book. In the meantime, I'm using spanishdict.com to see the verb conjugations in print.

The only improvement that I can see would be announcing the verb tenses in English (and then in Spanish).

Other than that singular distinction, this verb tense drill is perfect for me as a beginning Spanish student.

Effortless and authentic learning

The repetition of the subject verb agreement drills really helped me to speak with more confidence. There are 255 sections, with a short quiz, that are comprehensive and not overwhelming. I especially like that there is an emphasis on native pronunciation as it feels organic. Awesome product!

EXCELLENT BOOK!

When I was taking Spanish class in grade school there was a huge focus on memorization. We had to learn song after song when it came to verbs and nouns. While the songs were fun there were always 3-5 songs per lesson and I always felt it took longer than necessary. With this audiobook, the verbs and the conjugating felt more natural. It also helped that the narrator sounded like an actual native, so there's comfort in knowing that. The book really takes its time to make sure you fully understand the rules of each verb before moving on. Its very well paced! I wish real Spanish classes incorporated this method into their curriculum!

Just Okay

I am a visual learner, so it is very difficult for me to retain knowledge by listening. Because of this, I have issues comprehending spoken Spanish. It was very hard for me to listen to this book, and my attention often wandered. However, I did learn quite a bit and feel the book improved both my ability to understand and speak the language. I love that I can listen to it from the app whenever and wherever. I also liked that it had quizzes to make sure you're doing well. Overall, I would say the book was just okay. It was kind of boring, but I don't know that one could make conjugating verbs exciting.

This is the most comprehensive set of drills I’ve seen for Spanish. It helps you sharpen your Spanish-speaking skills in a way that reading the words on a page can’t; by saying them the way they’re spoken. The best part is the random exercises that keep you from “zoning out” and make you engage with the exercises.

As a drill book, it’s made to build on knowledge you already have, not teach you Spanish. If you’ve already learned some Spanish but need to get ready to recognize or snap off conjugated verbs in conversations with native-speakers, this is your book.
