Endless twist and turns................

Kiss & Tell is a solid police procedural that probably has the most twists and turns, misdirection and red herrings of any other mystery I have read. Just when I thought I had a handle on the story, the author would prove me wrong. Of course, this made the story incredibly fast paced and exciting, and I listened to the entire book in one day. The story introduces Charlene Taylor, a police detective newly promoted to the LAPD Robbery/Homicide Division. Charlene is incredibly tough, bright and intuitive, and I was originally worried that I wasn't going to like her character. I don't enjoy books where the female lead is the perfect, almost superhero character lusted after by all the men around her. Thankfully, although she is a terrific cop, she is also a flawed, imperfect, emotionally unavailable woman, and it was these vulnerabilities that kept me invested in her success.

In Kiss & Tell, Charlene not only investigates the murder of a college professor but also continues the secret investigation of a serial killer begun by her father before his murder. Between cooperation with numerous colleagues, painstaking research and interviews, and some truly daring escapades, Charlene proves herself worthy of joining the ranks of great fictional detectives. I am anxiously anticipating the next installment in this exciting series, and I highly recommend this book to all mystery fans.

Sharon Huff is a new narrator for me, and I was incredibly impressed with her skilled performance. She handled Charlene's prickly, kick-ass persona with plenty of spirit, and she used the perfect amount of inflection and emphasis to highlight the various moods of the story. I would listen to another of her narrations in the future.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Excellent thriller that you will absolutely enjoy!

Charlene, a detective with the LA police department is busy with two high profile murder cases. One is a prominent business man's son-in-law found murdered in his mistress's apartment. The other is the The Celebrity Slayer, suspected to have killed Charlene's father.

This was a great story! It was well built up and kept me intrigued throughout. The characters were interesting and it was fast paced with constant progression towards a brilliant twist and climax.

Sharon narrated well and was a good fit for the story. She had good energy and intonation and added to my enjoyment of the story.

I highly recommend this book. It is hectic yet brilliant. Thank you for this amazing performance, i was very entertained.

Great story

Charlene Taylor is a great character, there is a lot going on with her. Smart, beautiful, quick, yet also seems lost in parts of her life and she is trying to figure that out as well as figuring out murders and how to succeed in a mans world. “Kiss and Tell” kept me wanting to hear what was happening next.

Great murder mystery book

I was sent this audiobook in return for a review, but an honest review is what they get.

I really enjoyed this book! The story was well written, had good twists that weren’t easy to guess, but were easy to follow after the reveal. The heroine was very believable and I really got behind her and wanted her to find the killer.

I love these kind of novels that keep you guessing and leave you wanting more. I’m hoping there are more in this series as the characters were very engaging and realistic.

I would definitely recommend this novel if you enjoy murder mystery books especially as police thrillers or with female lead characters.
