Title is misleading

This book is more about understanding what a guitar is and the main points of how to play it. No true music theory learning, and the guy sounds like a robot. Don’t waste your time.

Should be titled philosophy of playing the Guitar

There is almost no music theory in this book. Big waste of money and time. Do not buy this book if you want to learn to play guitar. If you want to have a conversation with an accomplish musician about the nuances of this instrument, this book is for you. Otherwise, save your money.

This is as bad as it gets

the title of clearly inaccurate. it's not about music theory at all. at least not the first five chapters that I quickly bounced through to try to find anything worth listening to. The content was extremely boring and the narrator was at least as bad. if it weren't for the fact that this is an electronic book, I would certainly burn it.

methods for beginners

I'd recommend it for those that want a basic understanding, but it's not going to help someone looking for in depth levels you may find in college course.

good to listen

I bought this book as I got frustrated from a previous theory book that was not guitar based. If you want to learn the basics of theory there's plenty here for the beginner and intermediate.

Good content, bad narration

Can't even get through a chapter, the narrator is beyond frustrating. Annoying that the narrator can't pronounce the word "guitar" in a guitar book

Dead narration, slow paced

So lifeless I thought this was being read by a computer. Content drags and waffles. I gave up.

highly recommended!

I like the book, everyone raves about it for good reason. I found the narrator really annoying but pushed through it - very useful and highly recommended.

Have a look

Of course, I figured this was going to be great, I just didn't know how great. The author really put together a practical, informative guide for us to delve deeper or not. Great information and guidance without forcing an opinion.

NICE BOOK

I'm a bass and lead guitarist that's played for years simply by ear. This year I bought several books and spent more time reading and learning than endless noodling on my guitar.

Best

This is a brilliant asset for entrepreneurs such as myself who are keen on music, yet weren't exactly certain how it will change the idea of our work.
