Story
What happens when you learn to communicate better with everyone? No doubt you’ve had to endure a painfully awkward conversation, more than once in your life. Maybe it was a stranger, a colleague, or a date. Maybe it was a group discussion. You found yourself breaking a sweat, not knowing what to say. The more time passed, the more tense you became. You thought about all the communication books you’ve read in your life and wished you had them with you…to knock yourself unconscious as a way out of the conversation. The best thing about the whole situation was the moment it ended.

Maybe the Kindle version is better.
The narration is horrible. I drive a lot for work and I listen to a lot of audible books and this voice was so annoying. the reader reads like he's talking to a child or a bad infomercial
The first 5 minutes of the book is just the author praising himself and his book. Very frustrating I'm getting a refund.

This was a very simple read. It is complex in the way that it makes you realize what needs to be fixed in terms of your own communication. It helped me open my eyes to what I needed to focus on to produce real results. I recommend this book. The end of the book provides you with a 12-day challenge. I highly advise that you complete it to put your new knowledge to use to help retain it.

Weak
It’s a nice concept and a nice skill to have, but this book gives me the feeling that it’s just a guy that one day thought “you know, I’m pretty decent at my job so I’m qualified to write a book... and people will buy it because they’re really searching for help in this area.” The book just doesn’t seem to make any earth shattering revelations or give real concrete advice. It’s all pretty predictable and logical, which is fine on its own merit, but that’s not why people buy a book like this.

Communication for real neophytes read by an robot
I'm sorry to say that this book was a real disappointment. It has some good but VERY basic advice regarding listening to others. Think of it as How to Win Friends and Influence People but without the folksy anecdotes and simplified to almost a level that you would need to explain the concepts to a six-year-old. Or perhaps just someone who has a six-year-old level of communication skills? I've read a few books about communications and they at least all have some nugget of value that the other books don't. A unique perspective or particular tip that I can add to my toolchest. But this one is so basic that it really doesn't offer anything unless you literally have never read anything about communication before and have a very low level of communication skills. I guess for those people it might be an ok primer, except that is for the narration.
The narration was one of the words I've ever listened to. I am usually not that picky, but the guy reading the book had less human touches than Siri, Alexa, or Google Home! I swear this guy sounded like an automated computer voice in terms of the way he intoned sentences. It helped slightly to speed up to 1.25x, since his normal speech is incredibly slow, but even at 1.25x, I found it very hard to pay any attention because it felt like he was reading something without actually paying much attention to the words, reading it all with a single tone of voice, with an occasional rise or fall, but it seemed he was putting much more attention on anunciating e-ver-y syll-a-ble ex-act-ly to the point that it became mind-numbing.
If you feel like you need a very basic primer of communications, either get another book or at least don't get this on audio, because it's next to excruciating to listen to!

I didn't really get anything new from this book. I never had that feeling of something new or ground breaking from what you get easily off the internet. I do need to look into the 12 day challenge which I haven't tried, may be I will feel better about the book after.
great book is you are new to looking at communication, easy to listen and simple.

Tedious crap
Repetitive, tedious book where the author is intent on self promotion. As, for the narrator I found his voice robotic and intensely irritating.
