The book will begin with a brief history of the art of tarot and where it was first discovered and used, as well as the history behind the first deck of tarot cards that are still in existence. You will also learn about what the Major Arcana is and the tarot cards in the deck that is associated with the Major Arcana. You will learn that these cards have different meanings than the rest of the cards in the deck.

Great Guide!

This is the first tarot audiobook I've listened to and I will be listening to it again and again. I have worked with tarot cards for about twenty years, off and on. I found the explanations given in this book are very nicely done. I have learned a lot from various websites and books but found this book refreshingly easy to follow and understand. My husband bought me my one and only tarot deck but I picked it out. I know now the superstition is pretty much baseless but I found that the cards actually meant more to me because he thought enough of me to buy them for me, just make sure they are cards that call to you. If you're wanting to learn more about tarot cards and the way they work then this book is an awesome place to start. The author explains the Rider-Waite deck but I found myself enjoying comparing her descriptions to my deck which is not Rider-Waite. The basics are the same and I'll be utilizing this audiobook in the future for sure! The narration was well done. Cat Baroco has a pleasant voice and she read at a good pace. Overall, a book well worth your time if you are interested in learning how to handle your own deck or just curious as to the workings.

Awesome audiobook!!

This book is very helpful & thorough. I’ve listened a lot of other tarot books but this one is laid out in a very user-friendly, unique & easy-to-understand way. There are even tips on how to focus & clear your mind, tap into your intuition, develop your intuitive skills, and what’s best is not only are there descriptions of each card and their meanings but the author provides them in numerical order, explains what the numbers mean, & also provides information on Reversals (when the card is in reverse- which most of the tarot books I’ve seen do not do) as well as timing of the cards (& a lot of tarot books do not provide timing as well). 5/5 stars and definitely recommend to both beginners as well as more experienced tarot readers looking for a refresher or to expand their knowledge on not just tarot cards but other practices on card cleansing rituals & tapping into your intuition!
