Publisher's summary

Georgina Chappel has everything a girl could wish for, except her freedom. As a daughter of a wealthy and influential man, she is forced to be something she is not, every single day. She knows that she has failed her parents, her Coming Out was a distinct flop, and despite her wealth and good name, she has yet to find a suitable husband. But she does not want any of the dull and insipid men of her circle. She wants adventure and a man who will love her just the way she is.

Martin Shaw has worked hard to establish the town's only bank. He loves his work, but feels there is something missing. Will he finally find a way to move forward from his past, or will it haunt him forever?

Sweet, clean story

There is nothing better than a story, especially a historical western that portrays the woman with a strong will and personality. I loved this story about Georgie and Martin. From the very start, you can sense that Georgie is unhappy with her situation at home, so when she begins to correspond with Martin, a banker in Ruby Springs, her future may be on the way to change. There is a twist in this story when she gets to Martin, and their wedding may be on the line..is it enough to prevent the nuptials? These short novellas are so well thought out and the characters well developed that it's easy to forget that they are so quick. The story will stick in your head and you become part of the town of Ruby Springs!

J Scott Bennett is an incredible narrator, love his performance of this series. He is able to give the life to the characters and make you fall in love with them.

Sweet Historical Romance

Scott does such a fine job narrating these historical books! I think the more I listen, the more I enjoy his talents!
Karla writes quite enjoyable stories as well! As often the case for this genre I love, Karla writes about strong women whether they take on the traditional woman’s role, or break out into the man’s world that this era is well known for! Georgi definitely fits into this second role quite well!! Lol!
A delightful book! I just wish it was longer!

Very entertaining and enjoyable

I liked this story and the outcome is great, not all things are as we see them sometimes what we think might not be the truth as we find out on this short sweet read. Georgina is a different kind of girl, she has money and all that comes with it but she can’t find the one thing she really wants, a man she can love but also communicate with, one that will not try to change her. That is very hard to find in this time period. She decided to give the mail order bride a chance. She meets her husband to be and is very taken with him as he is with her BUT he is hiding a secret that once it comes out he is sure she will leave him.

Mr. Bennett’s narration is outstanding as he brings to life the story with strong emotions, confusion, power, control, anger, loss, heartache. You can hear all these in his voice as he builds each character giving us their strengths and weakness. His female and male voices are wonderful you always know who is talking and just what they are feeling. There are no background noises, no volume changes just a very clean clear audio that really pulls you in. If any breaks were taken you cannot tell. What really makes this an outstanding audio is how the narrator really brings it to life, you have no trouble getting lost in his pleasant voice which makes it very easy to picture the scenes in your mind. He really gives character to the characters as he puts his self in their place. Mr. Bennett gives the full impact through his voice as your heart goes out to a few characters and what they are going through. Each character goes through a trying time, the narrator has no trouble showing you exactly what they are feeling. It is a great narration that really pulls you in leaving you laughing and sad at other times.

A well thought out plot that really pulls you in. I love the mystery I was really going and wasn’t even close to what really happens. Okay my mind went a little wild but I did have a chuckle. The characters are very likable and are very easy to relate. I love the town, the towns people. I loved how everyone pulled together and how some people find out that their worse fear isn’t right at all. With all short stories you cannot tell much or you will give it away. You will be surprised at the outcome and I was. Totally enjoyable listen.

If anything is going to change she places her add to become a mail order bride. Martin Shaw the town's banker wants a wife, but has a secret from his past. The two have twists to their story.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. J. Scott Bennett performs enjoyably.

Georgina and Martin

Another short, sweet and interesting story this time about Georgina, who is quite a feisty young lady and her intended, Martin Shaw, the Bank Manager/Owner.
He has a secret which is why he left his home and family and for a while is happy as a loner, but as time goes by, he longs for something more.
She comes from a wealthy family and needs for nothing except she can't find a husband that suits her requirements so she decides to become a Mail Order Bride.
These are two delightful characters whom one could grow to love. I did!
J. Scott Bennett is at his usual best narrating quality in the audiobook version which I requested and listened to today - and I love the whole thing, story and narration, so thanks to both of these artistes for the lovely entertainment.

Sweet Mail Order Bride

I really liked this one, even better than the first book in this series. I found it to be sweet and I liked the fact that Georgina wasn’t your typical dainty lady. I liked the chemistry between the characters. I liked that they brought out the best in each other. The narrator did a great job once again as well. I would recommend this book to those who want a quick and easy romance listen.
