Glass Ferry, Kentucky, is bourbon country. Whiskey has been a way of life for generations, enabling families to provide and survive even in the darkest times. Flannery Butler's daddy, Beauregard "Honey Bee" Butler, was known for making some of the best whiskey in the state, aged in barrels he'd take by boat up and down the Kentucky River until the rocking waters turned the spirits smooth and golden. Spellbinding

This was a well written story that kept the listener engrossed. It was at once suspenseful and sad. The ending cane as a surprise.
The narrator did a splendid job of capturing the time and place. I recommend this one highly

Book is good

This was a good book however the end was lacking, but still worth reading or listening too.

Worth the listen. The performer isn’t that great.

I had a tough time keeping on listening to this book. The story line is very good. Maybe if I had read it instead of listening to it, I might have enjoyed it more. The performer does not sound to actually have a southern accent but is trying to force one. That is off-putting when listening to a story about Kentucky. It sounded like they were trying to hang on to vowels for extended breaths. It made it hard to focus on the content because I was listening to the accent.

Excellent story.

I struggled on the last 1/4 of the book. kind of weird and out of place. I love this author so of course I listened to the end

Enjoyable listen!

Another enjoyable listen by Kim Michele Richardson. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the sisters of Glass Ferry, the character development, and the ability of both the author and the narrator to help me visualize the area and the individual characters helped bring the story to life for me. A good listen, recommend to all who enjoy southern fiction.

Wonderfully written, heartwarming and sad all at the same time. Look forward to finding more from this author. Well worth sharing.

Loved the narrator, this is not the Bookwoman or the daughter, but it is a good story. Really enjoyed and listened to it over 2 days.
