Publisher's summary

Katie Wilkinson has found her perfect man at last. He's everything she imagined she wanted in a partner. But one day, without explanation, he disappears from her life, leaving behind only a diary for her to read.

This diary is a love letter written by a new mother named Suzanne for her baby son, Nicholas. As Katie reads this touching document, it becomes clear that the lover who has just left her is the husband and father in this young family. She reads on, filled with terror and hope, as she struggles to understand what has happened - and whether her new love has a prayer of surviving.

Awesome Author

I have read several of James Patterson's other books. I love him as an author. When I read "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" I couldn't even believe that it was a Patterson book! How could such a gruesome, murder mystery type auther write such a compasssionate, feeling, extraordinarily nice book. But the style is still his. He still works in his wonderful plot twists! Kudos James, what an awesome author!

Isn't it Lucky!

I enjoy reading mysteries and detective novels. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors and I have read several of his books. As I began to listen to Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas my first impression was, "what is a mystery writer doing writing a "girly" book?" But as I listened I was struck by his ability to write with simplicity, fluidity, and a deep heartfelt sincerity as he wrote a mother?s heart for her precious child. He wrote with a depth of love and with a fullness of life that I could only wish I had been able to communicate to my kids when they were young. I have not been so moved emotionally since I read Tilly by Peretti. I picked up Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas thinking it was another detective story. It wasn't! Isn't it lucky!

A good

I usually prefer books with a little more length and meat to them. This was a good book to listen to in between the more intense heavier books. Short, good story, good narration. I would definately put this in the category of chick-lit. It is not your typical Patterson book. It's far more like a Harlequin Romance. It probably would have made a good "made for T.V. movie". Not a waste of time, but not a book you'll think about for too long after it's over.

Great Listen

Although this book was predictable, I enjoyed it. I downloaded this book for a long drive I had, the book made the time fly. I laughed, smiled and cried! I didn't want the book to end and wanted the story to be carried further.

Everything was Wonderful

What a wonderfully written and narrated story. I have heard others by James Patterson that were as touching as this book, i.e., Sam's Letters to Jennifer. That's why I wasn't surprised to hear a heartfelt written book by him.
For those of you who might want to listen to this book, I recommend it highly. However; be prepared to hear and feel deep sadness.
Everything about this book was a pleasure for me to listen to.

Not as mushy as it sounds...

I saw the title and thought, "C'mon!" But I was surprised. This is well written tale, that will keep you interested until the end. Well worth the time. Heart-renching at times, but a great listen.

Absoutely touching...

This is one of the most touching books I have read in a while. As so many others have written, I too, did not want this one to end. I felt the love, the pain and all the possible emotions throughout this book and although I didn't shed a tear, I was so choked up at times that I really struggled to keep running (I listen to my books whilst running and let me warn others, its not good to choke up when running!!)
If you have any doubt about whether to purchase this one and you enjoy an emotional story then dont wait a moment longer.
The reader of this book does a fantastic job also and has a very listenable voice.
Thoroughly enjoyed and will no doubt listen to this one again in the future.

Pure Pap

I couldn't believe James Patterson could be so trite. The dialogue in this book was about as cheesy as a cheddar omelette - WITH SYRUP.

Too cutesy for me. Give me back "Judge and Jury" or "Cross" or "Mary Mary." Save me from another trip to Candyland!
