This isn't a story

When I read (or listen to) a novella, I expect a beginning and an end to the story. This "novella" experience is like a friend handing you a novel and saying, "Here, read this." Then you read the first two chapters, only to discover the rest of the novel is missing. You start to wonder if the "friend" who handed you the book is really your friend after all. I never thought I would right a bad review over a Sherrilyn Kenyon book because I typically love her stuff, but don't bother with this one. It will totally leave you hanging.

Love this series! Have listened multiple times.

The Dark Hunter series is the perfect mix of romance, action and humor. Holds your interest while making you swoon. Narration is fantastic. I have listened to this series more than once, which is a rarity for me.

Beautiful voicing!

Would you consider the audio edition of Fear the Darkness to be better than the print version?

Yes. I had previously read this short story in an e-book format. Hearing the voices for the various characters brought it to life for me in a way that tells me my imagination needs some work!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fear the Darkness?

Nick finding out someone was living in his house...

Have you listened to any of Holter Graham’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

If you could take any character from Fear the Darkness out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Nick - to explain he's being manipulated.

it's okay

Where does Fear the Darkness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I thought it was another side story but it is actually a scene that has already been played out in one of the DH stories...Nick arrives home after Katrina finds the home has been renovated so no damage is discernible...goes to the graveyard finds Minnie....just a recap

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

no

What about Holter Graham’s performance did you like?

As always, Holter Graham is great. Hard to decide which is better, him or Fred Berman...either way, I always look forward to listening to him.

If you could rename Fear the Darkness, what would you call it?

Nick Redux

Any additional comments?

Was totally unnecessary but I gladly added it to my Sherrilynn Kenyon collection

Wow!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This gave me an insight to a specific aspect of a *character* that i adore

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fear the Darkness?

The scene in the cemetery between Nick and his Aunt Meney

Which scene was your favorite?

cemetery scene

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

witnessing the distress to use a weak word in reference to this of Nick returning to the house he'd bought for he and his Mom to share

Any additional comments?

left me with chills all over; simply amazing

Fascinating

This was quite a walk on the wild side ... i downloaded it as a Member Audio because it was set in New Orleans. Not really into vampires, wherewolves, etc. But, for that genre, it was well written.
