Emma is the one that got away. The only survivor of a serial killer known in the tabloids as “The Hairdresser”, because of the trophies he takes from his victims.

The police aren't convinced. Nor is her husband. She never actually saw her tormentor properly, but now she recognizes him in every man she sees. Haunted by the horrifying incident and unwanted notoriety, Emma gives up her job as a psychiatrist and retreats from the outside world to recuperate at home, where it’s quiet. Where she can be anonymous and safe. Where no one can hurt her.

But when she accepts a mysterious package for an unknown neighbor, it triggers a disturbing series of events that leaves Emma questioning her sanity and fighting for her life. What exactly has she let into her home?

From international best-selling author Sebastian Fitzek, The Package is a bone-chilling psychological thriller with a dark and twisted narrative that will leave you breathless.

Twisted psychological trip!

Brilliant writing, evoking emotion and thought. Creates a scene that takes you into the story.

Full of twists and turns

Right when I thought I had figured out what was happening everything got flipped over, and then again and again. This is a perfect read for someone who usually can figure a plot out easily just for the fact it kept me on my toes.

Story keeps you engaged

I liked the story and it kept me wondering what would happen. The reader read a little too quickly at some points and I did not enjoy the voice of Emma.

Lots of twist and turns not very plausible

I enjoyed the twist in terms of this book, but I felt there were too many overall good listen we’ll seek out his other books

Scared and desperate

This audible book had me a nervous fearful for Emma’s life. I couldn’t understand why she kept on trusting different people and the voice in her head, but it was good.

Pass

So many manufactured “twists” and entire scenes of dreams that the essence of the plot is lost. Also, WAY TOO MANY coincidences of every single character being pivotal and all of them in one place that it becomes impossible to suspend disbelief. If they turned gravity on & off at will, it would not be any greater stretch than what these characters are up to.

Weird

Definitely not the greatest book out there. Definitely a different type of story I’ve ever listened to.
