Publisher's Summary

Anthony Spencer is egotistical, proud of being a self-made business success at the peak of his game, even though the cost of winning was painfully high. A cerebral hemorrhage leaves Tony comatose in a hospital ICU. He 'awakens' to find himself in a surreal world, a 'living' landscape that mirrors dimensions of his earthly life, from the beautiful to the corrupt. It is here that he has vivid interactions with others he assumes are projections of his own subconscious, but whose directions he follows nonetheless with the possibility that they might lead to authenticity and perhaps, redemption. The adventure draws Tony into deep relational entanglements where he is able to 'see' through the literal eyes and experiences of others, but is "blind" to the consequences of hiding his personal agenda and loss that emerge to war against the processes of healing and trust. Will this unexpected coalescing of events cause Tony to examine his life and realize he built a house of cards on the poisoned grounds of a broken heart? Will he also have the courage to make a critical choice that can undo a major injustice he set in motion before falling into a coma?

"If you liked The Shack- you will like Cross Roads"
What made the experience of listening to Cross Roads the most enjoyable?

I love that they used the same narrator as The Shack- Roger did such a great job with all the difference characters- he is entertaining to listen to and really lets your imagination run wild.
I've never been an audio book person but now that I commute- its the only thing that gets me through traffic! I love Wm. Paul Youngs unique take on faith- he is truly uplifting and his stories are captivating.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Cross Roads?

That first moment when Tony finds himself in the head of a child.

What about Roger Mueller’s performance did you like?

    His voice changes per character

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Tony decided to choose another life over his.

"When was the last time you read a book that literally changed your life?"

I stayed up all night to finish Cross Roads. I almost didn't read it, because it started out a little slow, but I am oh so thankful I did. I absolutely loved it! In fact, I can't decide whether to listen to it again right now, or re-read The Shack, or read another of his books called Eve. Oh this was so good!!

"One off the very best books I have ever read"

I read and loved The Shack many times but I hadn't even heard of Cross Roads. I have to say I loved it so much. This feels like a life changing read. I also really loved the narration. He's so good. Thank you again Paul Young.

    "Wonderful, Touching Story"

I read The Shack before I became a Christian and it definitely influenced me to give my life to Jesus. I saw other reviewers say that this book is NOT The Shack. That's right, it's not. But it's just as well (if not better!) written and just as provocative. I love the personification of the Trinity. It makes me feel God more personally in my life. Performance was outstanding!

    "Incredibly powerful life changing tale."

Such a powerful book! The quality of the narrator, is stellar; such inflection and emotion!

This book reduced me to a pile of tears, and then the next moment had me laughing my head off, it's a powerhouse of emotional resonance...you are truly missing out on a great story if you don't experience this! WOW.
