Publisher's summary

Three butchered witches. An unknown killer. One big mistake: they left the familiar alive.

Stella Familiar was created by the London Coven to protect the city from the monsters that lurk in the shadows.

She’s fought against the darkness for decades, but now something new has come to town. Something that’s torn her world apart.

This monster did the impossible: it murdered the three most powerful witches in London, putting the city in peril, and leaving Stella alone for the first time to fight back against a power she doesn’t understand.

An evil beyond anything she can imagine is loose; something with the power to crush her like a bug...and it’s back to finish what it started.

Does Stella have what it takes to defeat a threat this powerful, or will the creature of her nightmares snuff out the Coven for good?

Mystery, scares, and fast-paced action collide in this thrilling urban fantasy series. Listen to Familiar Magic now for an addictive tale of magic and mayhem you cannot pause.

Pulls you in from the start and keeps going

Would definitely recommend this audiobook -

Good quick listen, very engaging with a good story. Narrator did a great job with the material. It feels a bit more like a movie/tv series with how the story plays out with the two main characters and that’s not a bad thing at all. Will definitely check out the rest of the series.

Great start to what looks to be an amazing series!

I must say after listening to more than a dozen books in the Uncanny Kingdom series I am astonished by the authors' ability to keep things fresh and exciting!

I didn't like this book

I love a lot of different genres but this one was a little too violent and dark for my tastes. The narrator did a really great job and I would listen to her again. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A different take on the paranormal

Normally I would picture a familiar as an animal of some sort so this was certainly very different. And whilst it was another take on the paranormal world is was well written. I loved the idea of blind alleys reminded me a bit of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter. I enjoyed the characters in this book Stella was written and the detective well that was a twist I didn’t see coming. Anyway on to more of this series.
Heather did a great job with the narration adding character voices.

Great book of the uncanny kingdom

I was very enthralled by this story though near the end the author dragged the ending on a bit to long. Long enough that I almost skipped to the end, but I didn't. I would love to listen to the next book which this Audible book said was available on Audible, but I can not find it on Audible.
