Publisher's Summary

Shocked by an act of bravery, and intrigued by a stranger's good looks and demanding demeanor, Emily Stewart agrees to let a man walk her to her car. She had no idea at the time that this was exactly what Jackson Shephard had hoped for.

Jackson "Big Jack" Shephard rides with the Hell's Fury MC. He's big, not afraid of any man, and goes to great lengths to provide protection to his club brothers and those he loves. He lives by a code most men couldn't begin to understand. He's faithful in life and love, and he never breaks a promise.

Emily "Em" Stewart knows Jack is inherently different in all regards. Em has never had a man provide her with enough excitement, praise, or variety to keep her attention for long.

As a result, she's never had a relationship - until that night when a muscular tattooed biker steps in to her life and "takes care of" the abuser.

Jack can only be with one type of woman; the type who lets him call the shots in the bedroom. Emily agrees to an exclusive relationship, because her heart and being know no other way and because Jack isn't one to cheat, lie, or do anything but love completely and love HARD.

There's one big problem: An undercover ATF agent.

Will this shatter what they've built, will the walls crumble, and will Jack go to prison?

If he does will their bond survive?

Ex-Con is a stand-alone, no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, HEA story of love, loss, second chances, and living life outside of the boundaries most citizens live in. Ex-Con depicts life of an Outlaw Motorcycle Club and life in prison with accuracy. It is Book V in the Selected Sinners series of MC Erotic Romance novels, and is able to be enjoyed fully as a stand-alone. This series of MC Romance novels has no club whores, no cheating, and no typical MC Romance drama. To experience the series in full, Making the Cut, Taking the Heat, Otis, Hung, and Ex-Con may, however, all be listened to (in that order).

Ended too abruptly

Oh my.....I almost always finish a book of this length in 24 to 36hrs, at most. However, Since we readers know the eventual heartbreaking event that separates the H/h, of this book, from the previous books in the series, I stopped listening before it happened and set it aside for another book;actually several other books. I did this even though I knew that it would end with a HEA. I just couldn't make myself go through the tragedy for more than a week. I guess I wasn't ready to cry my eyes out. ( Which I did when I did decide to listen.)

The book was really well written with one exception. The book ends abruptly at the very moment that the H/h are finally reunited. Now, I had gone on to listen to the next book so I know that the couple ends up back in Kansas, together. However, at the time of the reunion, the Heroine is a business owner 1500 miles away from Winfield, Ks
So how the heck do they end up back in Kansas? How does the Heroine take the news of how the Hero ended up free to come find her? I was seriously irritated that I suffered through the gut wrenching tears and didn't get to experience more than 60 seconds of the HEA. This was a poor writing decision, in my humble opinion. :(

AMAZING!!!

This book is so good a I had to listen to it a second time. Scott Hildreth is an amazing writer. The scenes in the book are written so well you not only feel like you know these people, but you are walking through the story with them. This book has everything in it bikers, love, suspense and murder. This book is FIVE STARS, AND WORTH THE CREDIT.

omg

I loved this book except it ended way too soon. They just found each other and it's over. Sitting here in tears and it's over. There needs to be a 2nd part please.

Hmmm. Love the series though

Not what I expected. Still good. Hated the narration. That man couldn’t do a range of voices and then remember who was who. I guess I expected more this was a rewrite from another POV with more of course. Still the end was good but I just was left thinking. That’s it? What the hell. So I guess this was necessary for the series.

Loved Jackson ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This was one of the best MC books I’ve read and I’ve read a lot. Thanks Scott. However I would have liked to have had a longer HEA with Jack and Em. It was over too soon after they reunited. I loved how all of the MC books by Scott are all tied together. Great work. The narrators were great as well!

Hated when book ended

What can I say but another great book by Scott Hildreth. Jack and Em have some major roadblocks in their love story but their love is strong.

Passionate and kinky

Part of a series. Can be read as a standalone. Most of Jackson's story will be known to you if you've read the earlier books in the series.

Some good parts. Not my favourite book from the series.

The love story is passionate and highly kinky. Recommend for BDSM fanciers.

SPOILERS...

The plot is a bit of an odd choice. The first half if the book is a flashback to Jackson's life before jail and his love story (not previously seen). The second half of the book is going to jail, being in jail, getting out of jail (which we knew from other books) and searching for his lost love. Literally in the last paragraph of the book he finds her. The end. Weird. Disappointed.

Loved it!

I love this biker series. I wasn't sure at first about the 2 performers, each doing a person. But I have to say, I like it. Bikers are bad enough to be bikers, but not over the top. Good story lines.
