Engaging story. Great Narrator.

I am fan of Mr. Taylor's books and I really like the concept and world building around the Quantum Earth series. You many find that in this book there are characters and behaviors that are quite similar to those in some of his other books. This personally doesn't bother me as I can understand that it is hard to create whole new people, motivations, voice, and thoughts that you need to embody for a book and also it is hard to escape your own sense of humor, morals, and general though processes. I enjoy his sense of humor and world building, so some overlap is cool.

There is a lot of talk about the politics in this book mentioned by other reviewers. There is no doubt that events and politics from the greater world probably play a role here, but that is also the cost of reading a book. You may not agree with the authors message, politics, or protagonists decisions. So for those who want to avoid politics, here is your warning:

The author speaks on political situations that you may or may not agree with, these situations may also cause anxiety for those who find the current political climate in the U.S. stressful

Mr. Taylor thanks for the book and I look forward to the next in the series.

Much awaited sequel that ends too quickly

Love the premise of this story and hope it becomes a multi-volume series spanning several years. Only problem I had with this piece of the storyline is how abruptly it felt like it ended. Can’t wait for the next one however.

A good second entry.

I'm enjoying this series so far. Any story that can manipulate your emotions effectively is a good on. I laughed, I rejoiced, and I gritted my teeth at times. looking forward to the next one.

Pretty good!

See all the negative reviews complaining about the politics? They're right-wingers throwing a fit. They're not really upset that there's politics in the book. After all trying to reestablish society after an apocalyptic event only makes sense and politics is a part of most societies. What they're actually upset about is that their own political leanings are depicted as a negative or rival political thought is depicted as a positive. The book makes a pretty good case, but they don't like being the fools. Don't pay attention to them. Most of them don't know what they're talking about. The ratings for the book still average just shy of 5 stars. Listen to the book and decide for yourself.

Disappointed

I have been waiting for the sequel to Outlander for quite a long time. It was a book that I enjoyed (not at the same level as the Bobiverse books, but still a very interesting premise with a lot of potential to develop into a sliders-like series). I was very disappointed by this book. The whole book feels very bureocratic (i.e. boring), then there are the occasional subplots (with "creepy guy" or attempted coups) that sometimes seem as if they are going to be interesting and then fold down very quickly and left me asking what was the point. All in all a very underwhelming book, especially coming from such a great author.

I WANT MORE.

This completely lived up to my expectations. it seems like a lot of the reviews are hating on this pretty strong, but I'm happy with the story and going for another sooner than later

Only complaint is it was too short

Great addition to the series. Hopefully more is released soon.

The political happenings from the growing colony were irritatingly realistic, giving some extra feel to the book.

Only issue is the book was too short so not enough to enjoy! Some parts felt squished in due to the ~9 hour runtime but content is great as always.
