Publisher's Summary

Even the broken, through love, can find grace...

Secrets never stay hidden. The burden of guilt never lifts from the heart. Born and raised in The Order of David, Sister Phebe knows nothing but cult life. Head of the Sacred Sisters of New Zion, Phebe was groomed from childhood for one purpose: to seduce. Prized as a harlot, as a New Zion whore, Phebe is taken from the doomed cult by Meister, the notorious leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. Taken as his possession. Taken to be the woman who will obey his every sexual demand. Under his heavy hand, Phebe finds herself in a place much worse than she could ever have imagined... with absolutely no one to help. And no glimpse of hope.

Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes is content with his life as Sergeant-At-Arms of the Hades Hangmen. Leader of the infamous ‘Psycho Trio’ and ex-special ops sniper, AK knows how to fight. Experienced in warfare and schooled in military operations, AK is vital to the Hangmen. When his Vice President needs help retrieving his missing sister-in-law, Phebe, from a Klan-funded trafficking ring, AK volunteers to go in. AK remembers the red-head from New Zion. Remembers everything about her from the single time they met - her red hair, blue eyes, and freckled face. But when he finds her, heavily drugged and under Meister’s control, her sorry condition causes him to remember more than the beautiful woman he once tied to a tree. Saving Phebe forces hidden demons from his past to return. A past he can never move on from, no matter how hard he tries.

As AK fights to help Phebe, and in turn she strives to help him, they realize their secret sins will never leave them alone. Kindred broken souls, they realize the only way they can be rid of their ghosts is to face them together and try to find peace. Despair soon turns to hope, and damaged hearts soon start to heal. But when their deep, painful scars resurface, becoming too much to bear, the time comes when they must make a heavy choice: stay forever damned; or together, find grace.

Dark Contemporary Romance that contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for age 18 and over.

This series is incredible

Waiting a year for this book to come out on audio, and it is so worth the wait! Tillie Cole continues her Hades Hangmen series with AK's story as he goes in search of Lilah's sister, Phebe. When Phebe is taken at the end of Deep Redemption, it is clear the Hangmen are going to go after her, but they first must find out where she is. With their vast reach and multitudes of skills, these men retrieve the very messed up woman. AK has a definite draw to her, and takes her in to help her adjust to civilization. With insights to each other and disastrous histories to overcome, these two broken souls are able to piece each other back together. Cole has a way of writing a very complex story, investing your heart into each character, so much so when a cameo of one like Flame comes up, a feeling of familiarity immediately comes through. The story is very visual, with the book coming to life as you listen. This captivating listen including substance abuse, rape, human trafficking and PTSD as well as the continuing back story of New Zion is nothing short of amazing, and I can't wait(even if it is another year) for the next book!

The four narrators of this book do an amazing job. I am so happy Douglas Berger comes in with the chapters from Flame's POV, keeping him as we have gotten to know him. Patrick Garrett as AK does a wonderful job, this character has many layers and Garrett is able to give each one the inflection necessary for each one. Phebe is a broken woman with a devastating past, and Emily Cauldwell brings out her feelings to the surface. Aaron Sinn gives a short narration of Asher, hoping to hear more of him, as this character is sure to have an amazing story to go with him.

Beauty through tragedy

This whole series is not for the faint of heart or the sensitive soul. There is extreme violence, rape, sexual abuse of young girls, human trafficking and just about every characters who have suffered almost any emotional trauma that you can imagine. However, this series is about survivors. It is about the strength of the human spirit and how love, true friendship, family and loyalty can bring almost anyone out of the darkness and into the light. It’s about the type of people, who may seem like low-life’s to some people but, have the ability to accept another person as their past has molded them, without judgement. However, no matter how ugly the story may be, the ultimate conclusions are truly beautiful.

😭❤

Am I alone in hearing Hagrid saying, "You're a wizard Harry!" Whenever one of these books mentions a grand wizard? 🤣
AK and Phebe are hot af! They're so good for each other's healing. ❤ All the sick sh*t Phebe went through and AK's story is rough. 😔 Have tissues ready.
Trigger warning for hate speech, racism, rape (drug induced/public), abuse, pedophilia...🤬 drug addiction, alcoholism.

Broken

I was completely destroyed by this book in the best way possible. I can see that some may struggle with triggers at some of the content. I cried fat ugly tears, laughed, smiled and just absolutely fell in love.

least favorite, but still loved

This book took the longest to finish. I wasnt as invested after all the other amazing stories. I felt all the other ones had a theme (love, beauty, and touch) but this one I'm still not sure. But to be honest I'm still unsure of the first books theme and just put love as a placeholder. Overall I still liked it and look forward to your next work.

Awesome Series

I'm really hoping that T. Cole will give us the rest of this series on Audible soon. Loved all the narrator's used, but of course J.F Harding is my go to, my favorite and the reason I bought the first book to begin with. Need more, more, more. Like a junkie needing a fix.

Wow!

There's strong language, violence, triggers and sexual content that may make you uneasy, but the story is seamlessly written, has flawed. ruthlessly protective bikers with huge hearts that make the most unlikely heroes ever, but heroes they most certainly are. I doubt I will have enough of this series ever. I love all the hangmen and their bitches too.

Not a good story, Not good narration

I was wanting to hear A.K's story but this story is just awful. I tried to struggle and listen to the book but I ended up skipping to the last 2 chapters and turning the book off. The narrators could play a very big part in the story being bad. I've purchased all the books in this series and they are good. I've even purchased all the audio books and only the first one is really good. Books 2 and 3 were read pretty well, but the original readers were the best.
I did enjoy hearing AK's back story and knowing how he became who he was in the MC. The Cajun accent in the book was not good at all. The narration of the male voices sounded as if they were reading off of paper. It was hard to distinguish the voices apart at times, The female voice had a different rhythm unlike the first books. Was not happy with this book.

Love the Hades Hangmen

I loved this book. It's so nice to see the story expand and hear about the lives of all the characters in the series. The narration was once again flawless. I can not wait for the next book to be added to Audible.

This series keeps getting better and better

I'm a massive fan of this series and love the Hangmen, I read this when it was first released so knew I was going to love this audible version of AK and Phebe and I wasn't wrong as Patrick Garrett, Emily Cauldwell, Douglas Berger & Aaron Sinn all did a fantastic job of narrating a story filled with difficult subject matters (rape, racism, addiction etc).

This like other books in the series is extremely dark and graphic in places, but its serves it purpose.

Can't wait until the next book in the series is released on audible.

This series just gets better

I love how these books revert to previous stories and the voices stay true to character, first series I've read and listened to that does this.

Brilliant!

Damnable Grace is book 5 in the Hades Hangmen series. It's dark, harrowing, and heart breaking at times but when the Hangmen love they love hard and they protect their own. A brilliant series!

Breathtaking

This Hades Hangmen novel is the breathtaking story of Phebe and Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes. It is a heartbreaking story of loss and betrayal the two share although through differing experiences they have ended up in the same place feeling the same things both putting on false facades to hide their pain from the world. Both understanding the other on a level no one else ever has or will and through this shared understanding redemption calls if only they can make it to it. This novel is very graphic and not for the faint of heart and although at times is hard to stomach because of it there is also moments of intense tenderness and the roller coaster of emotions experienced make this a book very much worth the effort and highly enjoyable. An insanely well written book.

absolutely brutal

tillie cole writes some brutal in your face plots. a glimpse into the ugly side of the world.
phoebe didn't do it for me, much like her sister lilah. who didn't do it at all for me.
and for a VP of a hangman MC Ky is a dumbass..for reasons that come to light in this book.
he's my least fave hero...but AK..he's awesomeness encompassed.
again its a dark , gritty, brutal story...like the others. ...but I loved it. now I have to wait for audible to get a move on😔😔
the other thing is I missed vikings deep, raspy style voice, in this book it's exactly the opposite. was hard to feel.
so I guess I missed Mr Harding.
