LOVE

I absolutely loved this story. I thought Alex was well written. There were some areas where I thought Eve a bit foolish but I fell in love with Alex almost from the start. I couldn't put this book down once I started and I'm almost sad it's over.

Best narrator I've ever heard

I with this lady did all of Robert's books! She's fabulous! And I am loving this Royal series!

Ms Roberts 3rd book for me

This is the third book by Ms Roberts I’ve listen to. I picked her after finding several of her books in a chest when my mother had passed. I have enjoyed the entertainment they have given me as I drive to and from work. Thank you.

Recommended

This excellent story takes place appx. 7 years after Affaire Royale. Eve has been asked to bring her troupe to Cardina to perform 4 plays in 4 weeks. Alex has always secretly been drawn to Eve. Eve had an infatuation with Alex until she perceived he didn't approve of her. The sparkles are set to fly in more ways than one.

Intrigue

Loved the more intense intrigue of this story. Cannot wait for the next book! Yeah!

Narrator great. Some of my favorite Nora Roberts are her family series. (This is good, BEST is Irish Born Trilogy.)

No graphic sex

I love the older Nora Roberts novels. They demonstrate her imagination and crisp writing style; and are not cluttered up with gratuitous sex scenes. There are oldies but goodies.

Love this series

This is the second book in this series. I loved remeeting all the characters I care about (a Nora Roberts trademark) and meeting a few new ones.
