Publisher's summary

What was she doing here? Hyattown had changed very little in the years Vanessa Sexton had been away. In some ways her high school sweetheart, Brady Tucker, hadn't changed much either - he was still lean, athletic, rugged... But the once reckless boy had become a solid, dependable man. He'd stood her up on the most important night of her life; could she ever trust him again?

So Vanessa had finally come home, Brady thought. She could still turn him inside out with one of her sultry looks. He couldn't believe she hadn't forgiven him for that night 12 years ago - but he'd had his reasons for not showing up. He'd let her leave town then - but he wasn't going to let her get away this time...

Mehhh

I’m a big Nora fan but this was just lame. No depth of character, I honesty was so bored that I can’t tell you what it really was about. I do know that when the narrator spoke as a male, especially during any passionate or sexy scenes, I felt as if I was listening to middle school aged boys acting out a male out scene. Yuck!

Satisfying

Not brilliant but an appealing story of relationships. Won't be on best seller list but a pleasant listening when you want something light.

Male voice for the primary character was cringy.

Not my favorite narrator. The primary character's male voice was awful. The story eas ok but a bit convoluted.

Listeners will love this second chance romance!

Enjoyable audible listen.

If you like second chance contemporary romance stories,
you'll enjoy Vanessa and Brady's story.
There wasn't too much angst, and the narrator was great!
A book/audiobook I'd recommend to readers!

bad male voice

The female narrative of the male lead was bland and unemotional. Not at all what the character was portrayed as. Sounded creepy.

Couldn’t finish it

My least favorite Norah Roberts book ever, and I’ve read a lot of them. Just plain boring.

Awesome as always

Love the way Nora adds depth to characters - we know they'll end up together - but it really is a journey, an intelligent journey, the way Nora writes them up :)

Simple romance- not her best

Not the best Nora Roberts book, but alright to while away some time as background listening.
I didn’t really feel any affinity with the characters, the story wasn’t overly interesting (which is unusual for a NR book). I prefer her romantic suspense novels I think.

an excellent read

an enjoyable feel good romance with some added twists & turns creating suspense, anticipation & a touch of doubt about the happily ever after ending that you want for these characters.
