Editorial Reviews

A veteran stand-up comedian who has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman several times, Brian Regan draws laughs from his sharply-etched and quick-witted observations in Live.

With self-deprecation, Regan jokes about mistakenly asking a woman whether she was pregnant and then guessing a stranger’s gender incorrectly. Other everyday subjects for his satiric eye include snow cones, monster truck pulls, and people who talk to whales.

Adopting a cartoonish voices to depict the people he meets, Regan’s comedy comes from the point of view of a person who’s amazed by the outrageousness of the world around him.

Publisher's Summary

American Comedy Award-winner Brian Regan lights up the stage in this live performance. He has been on Letterman five times, the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and has had his own comedy special on Showtime called Something's Wrong with the Regan Boy. In his Playboy interview, Dennis Miller named Regan as one of his favorite comedians. As he performs around the country, people are constantly requesting favorite routines. This recording answers that call.

Tell us some jokes... circus boy!

We've seen Brian LIVE. This listen brought back several reminders/memories of Brians goofy, rubber faced stage expressions. Having fun with the simple day to day "nothings" brings a "Seinfield" type characteristic to his act. Great for the entire family... our true measure of a classic comic.

Brian Regan Live

Why isn't he super famous? Simply put, if Brian Regan isn't the funniest man alive then I've not heard his match- and this is but a small sample of what he can do. Network television's loss is the Audible listener's gain.

Amazingly funny

Holy cow! He is funny. I honestly didn't think it was possible to be clean and non-controversial and still be funny but Brain is the only one that successfully pulls it off. Don't get me wrong, I listen to all comedian's and a little dirty doesn't bother me but I didn't even notice Brain's brand of comedy was clean until someone pointed it out to me, and I've been laughing at his stuff for years. I don't think he even tries to keep it clean and simple it just turns out that way. He is going to be HUGE (I mean even more than he is now) someday mark my words.

Great for family car ride

I got this tape based on other reviews. At first I didn't think it was laugh-out-loud funny, but it gets better, and its everything others say about it. Regan has funny insights on everyday experiences. After listening to the tape on our long family car trip we found ourselves constantly bringing up "Reganisms" and laughing.

Good clean fun!

Brian is hilarious! I only wish we could see what he's doing when listening to this as he makes extremely funny gestures and facial expressions during his routines. I saw him live earlier this year and I never stopped laughing! This performance, "Brian Regan Live", is fantastic! If you enjoy this, pick up his DVD "I Walked on the Moon" which has all new, but just as funny, material!

Hilarious!

This is one of the funniest routines I've ever heard, and I've listened to it half a dozen times. Every time I listen, I have to run and fetch a box of tissues because I laugh until tears run down my face. Brian Regan proves you don't have to work blue to make an audience scream with laughter. Absolutely hysterical! What a funny, funny man!

I've never laughed so hard!

My wife and I heard a clip of this on Netscape Radio's comedy central, and laughed straight through. We were excited to get this book from Audible! I just finished listening to it at work and was laughing so hard I almost passed out. Luckily, I was able to pause my MP3 player before I did. If you like to laugh, get this book!

Brian Regan is Hilarious and Family Friendly

We have listened to this CD some many times we find ourselves repeating the YOU TOO phrase and the baseball humor is gut grabbing funny. Highly recommend this for some great clean humor the whole family can listen too!
