I Love Christmas In July

Christmas Lovebirds was a cute cozy. I couldn't decide whether to give this 4 or 5 stars but the birds won me over along with Melisa and Rob. The lovebirds, Cassie and Casey were a great addition to the story. I liked the protagonist Melisa. There were a lot of other supporting characters, including the cute birds and well, Rob.

I really enjoyed Rachelle Ayala's writing and look forward to more in this series.

Jennifer Groberg's performance was stellar. Her characterizations were excellent including the bird chirps. She made this a fun and enjoyable listen and I hope she continues to read the rest of the series.

Way 2 sweet

Im pretty sure I have a mouth full of cavities from listening to this. Ok ok ok. Sorry for being cynical. It is a good story and the narration was awesome. However it felt like I could read this to a Sunday school class. Read it if you like sickly sweetness.

Excellence Performance

I got this ARC via audiobook boom. The narrator was good and kept the story exciting. All of the bird noises just made me laugh. The story line was funny and practical. The HEA was a good solid one and the ending was just plain strange. Not a cliffhanger but you know there will be more books in the series.

Wonderful!!

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. This was wonderful. I love me some firefighters. I loved that this was a clean romance, not many of these out there. This sweet romance will sweep you off your feet. I can not wait for the rest of the series.

A Fun and Challenging Holiday Lovestory

Would you consider the audio edition of Christmas Lovebirds to be better than the print version?

I think that both print and audio have their own unique strengths, and I have enjoyed them both. Listening to a story is very different then reading it, but it makes it no less enjoyable or challenging. Either way you choose to experience this story, you will be happy that you took the chance on it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rob was my favorite character. While he made his share of mistakes, he was no less deserving of love and happiness. He had to fight for what he wanted against family and friends, and that made the reward in the end that much sweeter.

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Groberg’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not listened to any of Jennifer Groberg’s other performances before, but I enjoyed this one. She has a fun and light voice that leds itself so well to this cute, Christmasy story. I think she brought a lot of heart to this experience and gave it her own brand of cheer.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The best things in life aren't always as they appear.

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the Hart series!

Lovebirds

In this cute Christmas story secrets come out, family surrounds each other, and more than one lovebird finds it’s mate. Definitely worth reading this holiday season. Jennifer does a great job narrating the story.

A sweet romance

Christmas Lovebirds is a touching, sweet romance.

Melissa always had feelings for her brother's best friend, Rob, but when there was a falling out between the boys, Rob was no longer welcomed by the family. Years later, Melissa ends up in Dr. Rob's emergency room, and that's when things get complicated. Sometimes things are not always what they seem...

I'm definitely a fan of Rachelle Ayala's writing style, and I loved the narration by Jennifer Groberg. I'm looking forward to following the Hart family through the Have a Hart series!

Love the birds!

Lovebirds...what a connection they have. This story of Rob and Melissa is a sweet, yet forbidden romance. Growing up as Melissa's brother Conner's best friend, Rob could never act on his feelings. Melissa being the younger sibling was always in awe of her brother's friend. When an injury and their birds throw these two together after ten years, all bets are off. But will secrets from Rob's past come back to haunt him and ruin the love they are finding? It took me a little while to warm up to these characters, but once invested, I was all in! The birds were a lot of fun, the protective nature of Casey and Cassie so much like the real relationship we watch grow between Rob and Mel. Rachelle Ayala portrays this story so well(and includes a couple firefighters too!) giving a satisfying listen.

Jennifer Groberg gives a well paced, warm narration. She can work a little on the differentiation of the voices between male and female, but all in all, it is an enjoyable listen.

Entertaining sweet romance

Audio Review
Both the author and the narrator are new to me but after listening to Christmas Lovebirds I will certainly be checking out other works by both of them. The narration on this sweet Christmas romance was at the perfect pace and Jennifer Grogberg did a great job bringing the book to life.
Rob Reed was best buddies with Melisa Hart’s brother but when Rob made a mistake and slept with Connor’s girlfriend he lost not only his best friend he lost all the Hart’s. Melisa is a primary school teacher who takes her lovebird to all her classes as well as the local toy drive for Christmas but a mix up brings her face to face with Rob and his lovebird......
What follows next is a sweet whirlwind romance and this story will appeal to all lovers of romance as well as all holiday season lovers, it’s sweet, it’s romantic, it’s witty with characters you will love.
Christmas Lovebirds is book 1 in the Have a Hart Series and I can’t wait to read or listen to more from the Hart’s. Great read and great narration.
