Enjoyable but aggravating

The main character bumbles around making obvious bad decisions. She then reacts like she can’t believe her choices produced poor outcomes. The author does a great job of making you hate the antagonist and world building. Despite how I opened this review I did enjoy the series.

The storyline was good, except the ending

The storyline was good and I kept listening to see where it would go except the ending was rushed so that was a bit disappointing. Claren is honestly one of the weakest and self centered protagonist and I really wish she weren’t. She had so much potential to be a strong character but when those moments didn’t happen, I really thought about stopping the book. It really sucks because I was rooting for her.

This keep you on your toes! Great book, Hope the writing comes out with another series soon!

I really great series sometimes a bit too much romance drama but a great series overall highly recommended

Long, but wish it was longer...

I absolutely LOVED this series. It was intense in all the best ways. I only hate the ending, because it's the end. I wouldn't mind a spin off of the new world. hint hint 😉

Best Books Ever!

Best series I've ever read. I literally could not turn it off! Really keeps you on your toes!

Good character development

I didn’t like the narrator, the story kept me intrigued enough to continue but the narrator was hard to listen too. It felt like she had a tooth retainer in her mouth while she was reading.

Engaging story, narrator struggled with emotions

The young adult story is a dystopia version of America with all burden of choices are given to the government and leadership. The leadership no longer is moving towards the vision of the people and our protagonist falls into the role of pushing back. There is tame romance choices and choice between love and responsibility.

Listening to a trilogy in one long go is a first for me. However, the narrator struggled to convey emotion and put inflection on words. It often made the scenes that should be ranging emotions, fall flat. The story was good, I just wished the narrator could convey more emotion to bring the reader in this engaging new world.

Great!

This collection is well-written and well-performed! By far, I recommend for anyone who enjoys intricate, well-developed stories and characters. There's just enough romance amidst the dystopian world. Excellent piece!
