Not as good as Duncan's

If you are after a similar book to Duncan Bannatyne's autobiography, this isn't the book for you. It reads more like an open university lecture on how to start a business. If you are starting a business this may be the book for you. If you are after an interesting read, then it probably isn't

Not worth it

This book is just big list of bullet points on starting a business. No explanation

Lacks a personal insight , just Robotic instructions. Come up with good ideas Do market research, next evaluate who your customers really are.....

Solid advice

Worth listening to as it gives very good advice on setting up a business. A lot of it could be construed as being obvious for the seasoned professional but I think its probably going to offer at least one or two nuggets of wisdom for most people.

Very poor

Compared to the books by his fellow dragons and Branson for that matter this is a poor showing.

There is a lot of repetition and I'm far from sure that Peter has the right voice for an audiobook. I found it very hard to give this book my full attention and my mind wandered a lot while listening to it.

Inspiring

Would you consider the audio edition of Tycoon to be better than the print version?

Peter Jones passion for his subject and his desire to help the listener in their entrepreneurial journey comes across even more strongly in the audio book. Shame the audio book is only a very small portion of the printed version.

What about Peter Jones’s performance did you like?

All of it. Peter Jones' mix of sense of humour and tycoon success

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Motivating, inspiring. It is fantastic to hear the author speaking of his own business experiences. I've saved this audio book to listen to regularly as a motivational aid.

I was expecting more

What Peter has done is to pull together a list of all the best practices which make up a entrepreneur / tycoon.

I was hoping to get a bit more about what he did specifically to get from where he was to where he is now which he rarely touches. Having read and heard a lot of other business / personal development book I did not find the content of this audio book anything special and therefore would not recommend it.

Tycoon

It is very different to the other biographies from other business leaders. A bit comical on the presentation of the audiobook if you are looking for a serious business listen!

It is more promoting his tv career than a biography. Some useful advice but not more than you can get elsewhere. Do not expect a narrative of his career.

Very good and 2 the point, but.......

I admire Peter, his advice is 2 the point and gives all the snapshots of his life, love to hear his autobiography of his life step by step especially the mistakes, also his insights and ideas regarding gaps and his next venture, the only annoying bit about this audiobook is the dramatic noises which each and every tips in this book, if that is taken off it will give this book more refinement and easy to listen for the listeners. I love this book.👌🏼👏
