I had fun

So this isn’t the best written fantasy. But it wasn’t actively bad. It was fun. Part of this was the two main characters (Pan and Cam) have names that sound very similar.

The end dragged out a bit, but it is very clear it is acting as world-building and the first part of a series. I’ll be getting another of his books, so take that for what it is.

Story evolved without being wordy or boring. Character interactions are well done. Ending leaves you wanting more.

I’ve only listened to the few chapters so far and I’m enjoying the ride. If you follow Ashura’s other works via audio book, this will be an adjustment since Travis Baldree is a different type of performer than Nick Podehl. I would encourage anyone to settle in, give it an honest chance and you’ll be hooked. What a great product! Glad I purchased!

Enjoyer of all fantasy

I greatly enjoyed this book. I always find it interesting that Davis always somehow includes his original characters in his books as guides. I also enjoy the fact that in his multiverse from world to world the system of magic changes. It is a really good way to keep the listener interested because we get to learn as we go. So thank you for the book and I can’t wait to hear how this story progresses.

Absolutely can’t wait for the next book in this series. The pacing is perfect, character development transforms throughout the book. The relationship between the MC and the pro antagonist is very relatable and leaves tons of eggs readers interpretation to think on for the next book. We’ll done sir! Keep them coming!
