Hands push Marie Jessica (“MJ”) Goodrich from a rural roadway into an icy creek. The clock is ticking for her pleading friend on the other side of the ravine.

Running from flashbacks of a life-altering attack in Afghanistan, MJ takes refuge with her mother, managing Peach Blossom Orchard. But peace is ellusive in a rural Oklahoma town full of secrets.

After losing his wife and children in a fatal car crash, Josh Rivers doubts he deserves a second chance at love. He can’t believe his bad luck when MJ, the woman who plagues the nightmares of his military service in Afghanistan, shows up in his hometown. She claims a driver ran down and abducted her friend Kelsey. Frustrated with the county sheriff’s investigation, MJ and Josh partner to follow clues that lead to a kidnapper who demands a bizarre ransom.

With danger increasing for everyone MJ loves, will the clock run out before they solve the mystery? Find out how MJ and Josh—swirling in a whirlwind of mystery and suspense—lean on their mutual faith to find answers, courage, forgiveness, healing, and a wholesome romance.

INTO

I loved the narration of Sharon Huff.

Into the Fog is a book with suspense, mystery forgiveness. Several events happening are they related or separated events. There is a good deal of suspense, some of it caused by MJ and Josh investigating on their own when the sheriff asked them to leave it to him. This is great mystery, with people struggling , and fighting for peace and forgiveness.

Unexplained Terror

The author, Ms. Karen Randau brings readers/listeners into the unexpected mysteries of Peach Blossom Orchard. MJ Goodrich, a veteran of Afghanistan military service, moved to Oklahoma to work in her mother’s business from the accounting side. MJ’s military job came with survival skills, investigative prowess, and renewed faith helping her overcome her-life changing injuries. The opening scene of this Christian Thriller has two running buddies, MJ and Kelsey, separated in the thick fog with terrifying consequences. Hours later, MJ awakes with an unknown rescuer who gets the sheriff involved. The details of the morning events that MJ relates seem vague and not backed by evidence at the scene.

Josh Rivers, the rescuer, recalls MJ from his service in Afghanistan. She’s been the face in his dreams ever since their paths crossed. He’s been fighting forms of PTSD since he ended his military career, lost his family, and took over his father’s business. Even though the sheriff seems unconvinced, Josh believes MJ and decides to help find Kelsey. Their partnership takes them on a wild ride finding unexpected connections and uncovering dangerous walls that threaten MJ and everyone she loves. Her faith keeps her moving and opens Josh’s eyes to his possible self-redemption. They forge an unbeatable bond from their foundation of faith to build trust and a promising long-term relationship.

Ms. Randau delivers three-dimensional believable characters throughout the story, making this a fantastic start to a series. Fans of Christian Thrillers will enjoy the storyline and ways faith gets inserted.

The narrator, Ms. Sharon Huff provides a perfect narration with distinctive voices, bringing the characters alive. Together, the mystery thriller offers listeners a front-row seat as the evidence gets gathered with an unexpected, breathtaking ending.

I highly recommend this story and look forward to the next in the series.

A great story

The narration is top-tier and the storyline starts right into the thick of things. How do you search for answers when no one is helpful? And how can you partner up with someone who is a reminder of certain triggers? I love how PTSD plays a part in pushing MJ and Josh away from each other. That alone ratcheted the tension in this suspenseful story. Well done, Karen Randau!

Nice Mystery

I just finished this and it was great. The narrator is fantastic. The story kept me interested all the way through. I'm interested in seeing what happens next. There is one part where the narrator was supposed to say vestibule, but instead said vegetable. It's a minor mistake that gave us a little chuckle.

Peach Blossom Romantic Suspense!

I love trying out new authors and I am so glad I have found Karen Randau! This romantic suspense has all the right elements to keep me on the edge and have me rooting for the couple! Josh saved MJ's life in Afghanistan, Who thought they would ever see each other again? Now living in the same town, the two have an instant attraction, but Josh has to come to terms with his past before he can move ahead. But things are moving faster than expected. Thrown together due to Kelsey's disappearance, the two are on a mission to find her. But they find themselves in more danger than they saw coming. Twists, turns, surprises we don't see coming and a budding love that is unbreakable, Randau has a fantastic start to her Peach Blossom series.

Narrated by Sharon Huff, I was treated to a variety of voices and building suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. She dove into the story, kept the story well paced and interesting. She easily transitions from male to female voices and made this listen fly by. It was a great listen.

Great Christian Fiction

This was my first experience with Karen Randau's work, and I was entertained by the story. MJ Goodrich and Josh Rivers first met while serving in Afghanistan, and both have scars from their time there. Strange events brought them back together and they must join forces in order to find a missing girl. I liked the characters, and I appreciated that they both found strength through their faith. I enjoyed the twists and turns as they worked to solve the mystery. Sharon Huff's narration was fine, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
