Publisher's Summary

In the little town of Walton, Georgia, everybody knows your name - but no one knows your secret. At least that's what Lane Kent is counting on when she returns to her hometown with her five-year-old son. Dangerously depressed after the death of her husband, Lane is looking for hope. What she finds instead is a dead body.

Lane must work with Walton's newest deputy, Charlie Lynch, to uncover the truth behind the murder. But when that truth hits too close to home, she'll have to decide if saving the life of another is worth the cost of revealing her darkest secret.

Debut novelist Natalie Walters pulls you to the edge of your seat in the first moments and keeps you there until the last in this riveting story that will have you believing no one is defined by their past.

Truly Great All Around!

I enjoyed this listen because it had it all. Well done suspense that held through to the end. Healthy and ideal courtship and love story surrounding believable characters. Superb easy listening narration. Sub theme to story deals with PTSD, Depression, Difficul family dynamics and ways to get through the challenges of each.

Good but not great

I think the overall story was good but there were a few times it lost my attention.

Nonstop Heart Pounding

Living Lies keeps you on the edge from beginning to end. The suspense, romance, regrets, understanding, love, so many emotions flow from the pages that connects you to each of the characters. You don’t want the story to end so now I must wait for the next book to be released.

Good! Kept me guessing!

When this book started out I wasn't thrilled with it but it grew on me really fast. at one point in a car accident saying I found myself with both my hands up on my cheeks and my eyes filled with tears! So it was written and read very well.

Too much repetition but still good

Great story line but it seemed like every few sentences Laine was berating herself. If half of that had been left out, it still would have been a lot. Other than that, it was a good book. Great story line and kept me guessing.

Well isn't that special!

When reading the summary for this book I must have missed the part that mentioned that it would be a romance mystery, which is just not my thing. I did listen to all of it, however, and the story was well developed. The narrator did a very good job. Very pleasant voice. So if this is your genre, you will enjoy it. Damsel in distress, hunky, well muscled, handsome rescuer/lover, and the women always concerned that the men always get plenty to eat (homemade of course), and always fresh cinnamon rolls and cobbler. Too much!

Could not put down!

Excellent book. I could not stop listening and when I wasn't listening, I was anticipating what was going to happen next!
