Publisher's summary

The last thing Tamara expected was to be snatched away by a winged beast.

This hadn’t been part of the brief. Was this normal hunt behavior?

Surely not.

She had a really bad feeling about this. Once the feeling settled in the pit of her stomach, it wouldn’t let go.

Lightning Dragon can be listened to as a standalone, but would be best enjoyed as book four of The Bride Hunt series.

Thunder and Lightening!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☹️🙃☺️😀
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Tamara - a graphic designer looking for a job in a tough industry. She was living hand to mouth and not very well. In the past she had been accused of lying, cheating and stealing from her lying previous employer/unofficial partner (and jilted ex boyfriend) and employers didn’t give her the time to prove that she was not guilty of those things. She was currently working at a restaurant that was not busy enough to put her on full time. She will not make her rent the next month when the vampire dating agency she signed up for selects her for a new program dating shifters. She planned to stay the week, get paid her stipend for that week and leave with enough money to pay her rent.

The Heroes: Thunder - He is a dragon shifter and the Air King. He had bad luck in the last hunt. He had ended up with a gold digger who wanted nothing more than the status of being a queen, diamonds, jewels, clothes and cars. He wanted a true mate, someone who loved him and would give him heirs.

The Story: Tamara doesn’t plan on falling in love or staying for longer than a week or two when she finds herself in the mountains running in a hunt for a dragon shifter to find her and claim her. She wanted to be clear to them that she was not in it for long term, even though she said in her interview that she was keen on mating a shifter.

Like the last book, this was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narrators were Stella Bloom and Troy Duran. Troy is my favorite narrator with a deep and sexy voice. Stella has an emotive and feminine voice and she does a great job with everything she does. I liked the characters, this series has had some terrific characters.

Thunder was a bit over the top in the last book. He wanted a human female so bad and wasn’t afraid to take what he wanted and didn’t want to wait to get to know her before jumping into bed with her. This time he thought he would play things differently especially when he saw that Tamara was a bit jumpy. He promised to win her heart before he claimed her. However, he doesn’t get the chance when a crazy dragon shifter breaks the rules of the hunt and changes to his dragon and flies off with Tamara. I really love this series and plan to listen to more of this series and more from this author.

Pretty good

The storyline was entertaining and interesting; this book was different from the previous book which I appreciated. Getting used to Stella and Troy narrating paranormal books now. I love the names of the dragons ie Thunder, Cloud, Blaze, etc… Will continue series.

90% ONLY TWO CHARACTERS TALKING & SEX. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Especially in comparison to the previous books in the series & I can't BELIEVE I PAID OVER $23 for 7 HOURS of 90% ONLY TWO CHARACTERS TALKING & HAVING SEX.
This series has HUGE POTENTIAL to bring together a complete SOCIETY of CHARACTERS & to MERGE with her VAMPIRE /SHIFTER SERIES that do appear in the Dragon novels as small Cameos.
This ALSO has the POTENTIAL to BLEND into a COMPLETE UNIVERSE of CHARACTERS, FAMILIES, & ETC... but she COMPLETELY BLEW IT with this book basically just having two characters talk & play nurse the ENTIRE TIME. The Female has strong potential to play a part in the future books as the "strong nursing & fighting type," IF the Author realizes it and goes with it.
Disappointed that Thunder seemed to be so weak throughout. not appealing as a king. The base story could have been spectacular IF there had been more characters involved and a break away from just constant conversation. The sexual conversations, "dirty talk" has also become repetitive too as in I can almost predict what they will say in sexual encounters as it's pretty close to all her previous books. she needs new material bad.
I hate the price versus value issue with her books too. $23. for 7 hours is just too much. either lower the prices or double the hours and increase the book content. there's no rule that says you can't tell 2 stories at the same time in a book and find a way to blend them. I'm on the fence on rather or not to give up on this author, or hold out because she has so much potential and room for improvement. I think I'm just going to chalk this book up as she had to be in a rush to make a deadline and only wrote about the main characters and left the entire world she has created out of it, like an outline book. EEERRRR. Actors make the occasional crappy movie to pay bills. I guess she's entitled to one too, lol. here's hoping my faith in her is not wrong by "CHANCING" the next one. this one can TOTALLY BE SKIPPED WITHOUT MISSING ANYTHING!!!! Just sayin...

First ones are decent but then

The vampire and wolf ones are decent. But these have a redundant storyline. Then your left with a small cliffhanger but the next book never addresses it. Why have I gotten this far???
