Publisher's summary

Azure has resigned herself - just like many of the infertile dragon females - to being single forever. She's okay with that. She does not need a male. There are many things that fulfill her. Things that she is passionate about; like her job as a hunter. What could be more important than feeding the tribe? Nothing! If she wants to hook up, she can have her pick of the males - just as long as she doesn't expect any of them to stay. They all want to settle with human females. Humans who can give them offspring...and give the tribe a future. It makes perfect sense to her. She's okay with it.

Her feelings change when she comes into heat for the first time. Why now? Why her? Instantly, every unmated male in her tribe comes sniffing. They all want her. They want to mate her and to get her with child. All. Of. Them. Anger infuses every last cell of her body. An anger she never knew she felt. Snubbed for years and now they want her. Now they see her. They can all go straight to hell!

Her king has other plans. The tribe needs offspring. They need female young, which is something the humans cannot provide. Thunder instructs her to choose a male...any male, and to do so right away. She doesn't have long before the end of her heat cycle.

Contains mature themes.

Good Book Can’t Wait Till I Get The Rest.

The first thing is that the description does not do it adequate there’s a lot more to this book then what is put in the description, that being said, I loved it.can’t wait until I can get the rest of the series👍

Good short story

It was a short story but a good one. I really wanted an epilog. Did she get pregnant, and they should have given his reaction about finding out she was in heat again.

It was good for a light listen.

The narrator did a good job. The story was good, light, predictable but still good. Would recommend if you’re looking for a light listen. Nothing too deep.

Pretty Good

It was refreshing to listen to a story about the female shifter’s romantic pursuit for a change rather than human females. It had it’s funny moments. Quite an interesting storyline. The narrator did a great job with characters.

Was decent until

It was all hunky dory until the lame oh I didn’t get an apology and have you ever felt voiceless? Dude had his freaking wings CUT off not once but twice.. and “all I wanted was an apology” is really what your so upset about.. it ruined just about the whole story for me..

Girl Dragon!

I don’t know why, but I like it when the guy is the shifter and the girl is the human. Especially when it is a big type of shifter like a bear or a dragon. In this one, Azure is a female air dragon shifter who is on a hunting team with a bunch of male dragons. There aren’t many female dragons because most of them are barren and when male dragons mate with humans they always have male babies. So Azure just wants to be seen by her fellow teammates as one of them and as good at her job as the men.

However, when they finally start to see her as one of them Azure suddenly goes into heat. That is a huge deal since she always thought she was barren. Plus she has a crush on her boss, Ice but can never get with him because he is her boss. Her king decides that since it is so rare for female dragons to go into heat, that they absolutely have to take advantage of it and declares that she must get with one of the male dragons and get pregnant. She ends up choosing one of the other types of dragons since she feels she can’t choose the one she really wants.

Though everything gets messed up when Azure decides she can’t go through with it. The story isn’t bad, I just wasn’t as into it as I had hoped. I listened to the Audiobook which was narrated by Bradley Ford. He did a good job and has a nice deep voice, though I do like it when dual narrators do it much better than with just a solo narrator.
