So glad I remembered this series and got book 2.

I got the first book when it first came out and kinda forgot about it. Then, last week, I saw this was out and immediately got it. Blazed through it, and I am so glad I did. The book has such well crafted story lines and the narrator did a great job. Offers a solid stopping point while still leaving the door open for more. Excited to hop in to the next book!

Fun story, nice twist

I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did but the quirk-less protagonist was a fun twist. It was well written and of course expertly voiced by Luke Daniels.

I don't usually leave reviews but I am shocked this book hasn't made it bigger. I absolutely loved it, and have read books 1 and 2 over the last three days! ill definitely finish the series and don't want to spoil anything.

but I can say I loved how everything came together in this book and although I did predict the way Matt would trick the enemy it didn't at all take from the satisfaction. everything felt well earned and hard fought. there were stakes and the people all felt like real genuine people!

also loved the voice performance, it took me a couple of minutes to acclimate to his goofier style but it really fits and I have to say love it! the bloopers at the end are funny as well!

badly written make characters

a lot of rambling throughout the story. But story shines when it's time for action. It's really riveting. Just about all the male characters are trash (Matt not included)
