When the aliens came down and told us they’d enslave all of the human race if we didn’t send our bigliest warrior to participate in their arena death games, I laughed at them. It was really funny because they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with. Know what I mean? Then they said they would pick the greatest warrior, and they picked Marc Havak. He seemed like such an average guy, but he was a true-blue American. He even worked as a truck driver! That’s the kind of good guy we want defending us from aliens.

great story too much ploy armor
Would be better if there was inherit danger for the main characters. The cast gets larger and larger and very few times are there points where one of the supporting characters are even close to being killed off.
there was plenty of times where either Madam Scaleblade or Acer could have been killed off, just to put a moments thought the next time Justin ran into a mess of trouble. Also one of the Chillgraves could have been killed off as well.
just some thoughts. overall great story. but a bit over the top with the immunity of the main characters.

Starts out slow
Start out slow, then kicks in with a worth enjoying story line. Don't know how he does it but Dante King puts out a lot of good reads/ listens. Can't wait for book 9.

The story is improving, needs more magic
You know what you are getting with books like this, so the sex scenes are always going to go overboard. I am just impressed that it was worked in to the story & has a purpose. This author like most in this genre has several series going simultaneously because they have to as indie authors. I don't mind juvenile humor & op or os(over sexed) mcs, but I am not fond of a lack of progression, fortunately the production rate & target audience has not been as much of a distraction from telling a fun story. No massive cliffs is a nice touch as well. I will stick with this series unless given a good reason not to. The 5* is not entirely accurate but more of a bribe for the steady growth I am hoping for...

A lot more action and a lot more fun.
Happy the pace has finally picked up. Hope going forward things are like this. This is one I occasionally get bored with and will leave for a month or two but always come back.

meh
honestly just to short the whole thing was basically just a teaser to get ready for the next one this could have been the ending to 7 and we just wait for book 8 when ya where ready. I love the story and the direction creation mage is going but this just felt like a rush job.
