When people started to develop superpowers, the world changed forever.

Me? I wasn't one of the lucky ones with powers. So I had to develop more mundane skills, skills which have taken me across the globe on dangerous missions.

But there are some missions I’ve always had to refuse. I've never been able to take on a super. They're just too powerful. They're gods, whereas I'm just a man, even with all my knowledge and training.

All that changes after I discover my dad's secret research project. With this device, I can not only steal superpowers and take them for myself, but I can also choose to give them to other people.

I can make supers.

In a world ruled by egomaniacal supers, I'm about to upset the balance of power.

the only thing I have a problem with is the male narrator sounds like txt to voice from the 90's

good story, one good, one bad narration

The narrator for the main character is very bland shows no emotion I think it would be a much better story if there was a little more enthusiasm.

Show some emotion.

Like many such novels, things work out slightly too conveniently to expedite the narrative breaks between steamy section. It’s pretty visible here, but not overly problematic.

I just can’t stop losing immersion with Wayne’s voice being that steady. I’m sure he’s great in other things, but it doesn’t work for me here. It’s slightly too monotonous for him to be the main male voice.

Solid story, if a little oversimplified

The narrator reads robotically the story is good, just needs some emotion in the reading.

Like the story

So I've listened to this twice now as well as the other 3 that are out. Im enjoying the story. Its a kinda middle ground between the too hopeful dc/marvel and the straight evil supers of the boys. Yes superpowers would corrupt people and some would stay good. Throw in a company policy of "smile for the camera" and that's more real then most.

Better then most superhero stories.
