I need more!!

I love this whole series of books. There were times when I was totally creeped out and had to stop listening. This author is great.. violent only when needed... but man so descriptive. I promise you my senses were so aware..I think I could actually SMELL the death and decay. There is just so much more I need to know... lol

Aliens vs. Aliens

This book is not a standalone, so reader beware! If you have not read the first three books in the series, you will miss out on a lot.

This series has an interesting premise on how the country has been decimated by a virus, infecting and killing most of the population. However, there are a few survivors who did not contract the illness as well as a few that survived the infection and have developed some interesting talents.

The groups of survivors from the previous books finally meet up in this last installment. Some of them have learned a lot since the beginning and others? Not so much! The world building is great, character development is wonderful and the author has left the ending open enough that there could be more books in the series. But, there is enough of an ending to satisfy the reader if there are no more installments.

The narrator did a great job with pacing and the different voices for the characters. His performance added a lot to my enjoyment of this book. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

I really enjoyed this series!💜

This was an amazing alien thriller with all the disgusting, creepiness and humorous moments you’d expect.
They characters are wonderful and also a little creepy too.
The narration was amazing. I loved how he accurately portrayed all the different character types from women & children, to men and Aliens.
This book is NOT A STANDALONE. You will need to start with book 1 in this series to really enjoy it.
I recommend this series!

Nightfall

This series just keeps getting better and better. We have all the same new people and it skips around just like before but even with time in between listens I was able to remember everything important from all the previous books without issues and devour it in one sitting. Narration and writing were both really good.

Nightfall Fatal Reaction book 4

Excellent end of the series! On a cruise ship,a girl wakes up in her bed,but dirty. She can't find her parents, all she finds is bodies. All she remembers is not feeling well and going to bed a night or two ago,but was it only a night or two? The scourge has emerged again and it isn't pretty. Tim Jackson was a very good narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Finale!

We left our group of survivors hiding out in an empty restaurant at the end of the prior volume. Our group is hiding from not one but two races of aliens. “Scourge” that like to eat live food, and “The Order” that was running from the Scourge. Our wonderful government, in their typical knee-jerk reaction, thought it would be a good idea to infect us with the Scourge blood so we wouldn’t be tasty to them. As usual, the solution backfired and turned those given the blood into raging zombies. Then, considering this is L.A., there are two local gangs to be wary of. Aliens of The Order are supposed to be the good guys since they were running from the Scourge and have reversed their preference for live food. Good thing for us. So, remaining survivors have their hands full. How are we supposed to get out of this one? There’s only one way…stay tuned. Gripping Sci-Fi Thriller

When the Scourge come to Earth, they bring with them a sickness that infects the population. Those who survive it are changed, linked to the evil aliens. That link however, might turn out to be the Scourge’s downfall.

Lots of good things to say. The worldbuilding was immersive. It’s hard to find alien books that aren’t cliché, but this one took me down paths I didn’t expect. The aliens themselves are hardcore, only dying by specific methods. At one point, one was run over with a car and it still didn’t die. It made me think of an ‘80’s slasher movie where you think the villain is dead but they’re not.

The suspense was real, and with the cast of characters, each of which had their own very real personality, made this an easy to devour book. My only qualm with this was that sometimes in the narration, the character would have repeat thoughts with the words changed. Not sure if this was an editing issue or intentional, but these were the only times I was pulled out of the story.

All in all, this is a gripping sci-fi read.

I started the series at this book, but everything was explained in a way that made it easy to catch up so this can be read as a standalone though it’s most likely better to read the rest of the series first.

Narration was well done.

Even Better!

I've listened to books 2 and 3, and this one is even better! A lot more action and interesting discoveries about the aliens!

I had high hopes for this

I really wanted to like this book but just could not.

The story was nonsensical and often the plot was not believable.

The characters often do the things you scream at them NOT to do in movies. This is even more disturbing in literature.

Tim Jackson did not do a professional job with the narration. I sped up the narration to be able to tolerate the monotone slow delivery but it didn’t help.
