Nice story

I appreciate a clean yet not boring romance and liked the mystery added. I would have liked the story better if parts had been rounded out a little more. It felt a bit choppy in places with people jumping to conclusions about relationships and feelings. The reading was good in many places but was really flat from the man’s perspective. I could never hear or feel the warmth that the written words were trying to convey. Given a choice I would read rather than listen to the authors other books.

Great read, I anticipate a great series

Fire Games: A Christian Suspense and Romance (The Men of Fire Beach, Book 1), my nineteenth incredible read from wonderful Christian author Lorana Hoopes, her first read by me in the romantic/suspense genre (I love a good mystery). The author’s Texas roots show as most of her books are set in The Lonestar State or have ties to it. This is another amazing Christian read, God's hand is apparent throughout the book, if there's a flaw in this book it's that it's too short, After having read The Cowboy’s Reality Bride (Blushing Brides #1) & The Reality Bride’s Baby (Blushing Brides #2) I wanted to read more about Laney & Tyler and although this isn’t about them it is about the contestants not chosen in that first book. I don't do spoilers though so you'll have to read it and find out for yourself! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing. Lorana Hoopes’s talented self-narration & Texas accent/drawl adds to the well-written book's enjoyment as no one knows her characters like the creator. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Lost Memories and New Beginnings ((The Men of Fire Beach, Book 2). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Really enjoyed!

So good! I read it In less than 24 hours. I didn't want to stop till I knew the outcome of the investigations. Closed one case, and a second one came to a head. I highly recommend Fire Games if you like clean mysteries with heart.

Great clean mystery

I really enjoyed this little mystery, although I feel it definitely could have been longer and more developed! I will be continuing the series to find out what happens.

Firefighter romance

This was a great firefighter romance with a twist, Cassidy is a female firefighter. Jordan is your normal, tough police officer who is commitment phobic. He is working to keep Cassidy safe from a stalker, and she is trying to breaking down his barriers. Great start to this series.

short, but full of story

I was surprised at how much went on in this book, even though it was on the shorter side.

I've enjoyed listening to books narrated by the author, but this one I caught a couple of minor production errors. no biggie though, I still recommend it

I really appreciated the clean story with no vulgar language or nastiness. Thanks for the suspense and interesting characters.

Fire department Police department look after each other

This suspense takes place in Fire Beach, a small town in Illinois. The story weaves together the local departments and together they solve two crimes while two characters learn to give love a chance. The characters are like able and believable. I enjoy the way the author takes a character from a previous book, Cassidy, and gives us what happens next. A great listen for those who enjoy suspense with a budding romance weaved in.

Suspense and Romance

Another great book by Lorana Hoopes. Fire Games is the first of her new series, The Men of Fire Beach. If you love clean, Christian Romance filled with suspense, then this is a must read. I listened to the audiobook and Lorana does a fantastic job narrating the story.
Sparks fly when Cassidy Marcel, a fireman who is being stalked and Jordan Graves, a special unit detective, come together while trying to solve two different crime cases. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Cassidy was first introduced in the book Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy, which is another good, fun story!
