Publisher's summary

Murder can’t be sugar-coated....

When a local teen goes missing, the town of Stoneybrook fears the worst.

Hadley is sure Miranda’s disappearance has nothing to do with the drug dealer who was found dead in Cascade Ridge. The charming candy-shop cashier is entirely too sweet to get involved in any of that. But when the clues pile up, Hadley can’t help but draw parallels.

Suddenly autumn isn’t feeling like the cozy season Hadley loves, and the clock is ticking faster than the leaves are falling.

Every moment counts in a missing persons case, but whom do you suspect when the victim is beloved by all?

Or is she?

A Great Cozy Mystery - loving this series

I loved this book from start to finish. It’s a cozy mystery and one that I found thoroughly entertaining. In fact I listened to this one in almost one go as I kept saying, just one more chapter.

The narrator did a fabulous job and certainly kept me entertained. This was a a book filled with secrets, miss communication and clues to satisfy my detective spirit. The intrigue and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat as I listened to this story.

There are many twists, turns and surprises in A Sweet Death as Hadley, her brother and her band of friends follow the clues and I have to say that I was taken by surprise on a couple of occasions. I cannot wait for more in this series.
PS I love her grandmother.

Great book

This is the 3rd book i have read in this series., This book was just as good as the first two. The story is fantastic and i love the characters, especially Hadley and Luke. This time there is a missing teen, drug dealers, murder, and drug addiction. Plus Hadley thinks her BFF no longer seems to want to do things with her like she used to. What is up with this? The narrator does a great job. I definitely will continue with this series. I was gifted this book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

A Sweet Addition

This series keeps getting better! This book probably had the most intricate plot out of the three and was developed really well. I enjoyed meeting Hadley and Paul’s family, especially their grandma, in this book and that Luke had a larger role in Hadley’s life. I really love Hadley’s personality and big heart towards cats, her friends, and family. I think I’m finally going to have to try one of Marisa McClellan’s recipes that are included at the end of these books.
Jennifer did another amazing job with her performance! I love how she can bring all of the characters to life and keep you entertained until the very end.

Loved it

I really loved this audiobook. This is the 3rd book in the series and each one keeps getting better. The narrator does a perfect job voicing each character. There is a wonderful combination of murder, suspense, mystery and humor.

Loved It!!!

I fell in love with Stoneybrook with the first book and now...can't wait for the next one! This is a fun, suspenseful cozy mystery that will have you rolling your eyes, chuckling, gasping and cringing, and thoroughly enjoying yourself. The story is well written and the characters nicely developed. You don't have to read or listen to the first two books to enjoy this one but it will add more depth to it all. The narration was totally awesome! Jennifer Jill Araya really brings the story to life with giving each character their own voices and emotions. She also keeps the voices the same from the first book to this one! If you're looking for a lovely and entertaining escape then you should pick this series up. I dare you not to fall in love with Stoneybrook and its inhabitants!

Another hit in this series

I really enjoyed this story. It really built up a lot of suspicion that Sug and her brother were together and going to have a secret wedding. I really enjoyed the end of the story. As always, I love listening to this narrator because it sounds like she really enjoys her job and I get further engaged in the story. I also really enjoy the writers style. well...

This wasn't my favourite, drama added for the sake of it... it's was just too obvious from the start to the point where it started to feel riddiculous.
The mystery and narration were a good ones though, and it's still a series I'd recommend to fans of the genre.

Looking for a sweet cozy? Look no further...

I really enjoyed listening to this sweet cozy mystery... the story can stand on it's own, but in this case I've had the pleasure of listening to all three books in order and as always Jennifer Jill Araya's narration is magnificent...
I feel that this book is the most complex story yet, as Eryn Scott dives deeper into the relationships between Hadley, her family, and her much bigger twin brother Paul, the police man... The story revolves around a new case, a missing person... Hadley (a jam and jelly maker by trade) feels the need to once again get involved. So with her ear to the ground, Hadley hits the gossip circuit, a favorite pastime for Stoneybrook's locals! And, what the heck is going on with Suze, Hadleys best friend, what is she hiding?
Get the book, and if by chance you're interested in trying your hand at making some jelly along the way, there's recipes included! :-)
