Ezekyle Abaddon and his warlords strive to bind the newborn Black Legion together under threat of destruction. Now Khayon, as Abaddon's most-trusted assassin, is tasked with ending the threat of Thagus Daravek, the self-proclaimed Lord of Hosts - a rival to the Ezekyle's final fate.

Fighting the vile whispers of the Dark Gods within his mind, Abaddon turns a fevered gaze back to the Imperium, where his destiny awaits. Yet the Emperor's Champion and his Black Templars stand guard at the gates of Hell, and Sigismund has waited centuries to face Abaddon in battle.

I absolutely love this narrator. Even more so when he is reading a well written book. I’m not even a fan of the chaos legions but this was an awesome listening experience.

Just great

Tremendous book. Really helps put imagery and fluff to the black legion. Can’t wait for more, especially Cadia and Drach’nyenn

When I first read this book, I loved the story but revisiting it as an audiobook was phenomenal. Jonathan Keeble brings an amazing performance and it’s a joy to listen to. Highly recommended!

Fantastic!

Aaron dembski-bowden kills it. I never cared for the chaos legions before. I thought them all madmen and barbaric traitors. now I know they ate brothers in arms against an empire that failed them.

iskandar khayon is probably my favorite character
