Love this with all my heart!!!

I really live Holly and Virago, but I think I love Mara and Charaxus more. I didn't read the summary of this book, so I had no idea that my wish of knowing what happened to Charaxus after the end of Date Knight was going to be fulfilled and certainly not in this way. I'm in love with this book.

The story tugged at my heartstrings and the performance by Maria Marquis was simply riveting!

I love this author. I have read / listened to multiple books of hers. I've loved them all. I've felt similarities with many things in each book.

My heart!!

This made me hurt in such a good way. Charaxus and Mara are the epitome of soul mates and they fit so well together. I loved seeing the softer side of Charaxus, and how she became the "cold" person she's known to be by others. I actually like these two a little more than Holly and Verago, and I'd love to hear more of a conclusion between these two and where their relationship takes them. Btw Maria Marquis is amazing!!!

The most heart felt story I have ever heard!

The Story, the way it is written, and the emotion in the narrative touched me as few stories have in my many years of reading. It made me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time and I am so thankful to have found this story. It will most definitely become one of my favorites.

Most romantic book ever

I read this before I listened to it, and I have found this to be my favorite.
it was well performed. it has an amazing story. frustrating, emotional ,exciting love... everything you would want from a book. This is a must.. have.

Wow

At first I was just enjoying the book. But after I hit 50 minuets I did NOT stop listening! How I love love love LOVE the characters! It brings in so much light and love and ughhh! A must listen too book! You will not regret it. The only flaw I can see with most of the stories that Bridget writes is not going into much detail about the magic being used. I would have loved a much better explanation about the hospital thing. (Not to give away too much info) but that’s a small thing. You can just make your own opinions but I would like to hear it from the writer. But this doesn’t stop me from loving this and all of her books. This one happens to be my absolute favorite of them all!

Another Great Book from Bridget Essex!

Bridget never fails to deliver a great love story. Mara and Charaxus are such great characters. Loved this book!

Equally heart-wrenching and beautiful

The combination of the story which moved me on a personal level and the captivating narration (really, really well narrated for this story) was to me a masterpiece. I know, like music, everyone has individual taste in what moves them... but to me.. wow.. I enjoyed the previous books in this series but this one delves into the heart and soul. I was entranced.

Perfection!!!

So many stories told in one book. My story...your story... her story. The author is a skilled weaver of literary magic. Definitely my new favorite. The story is amazingly healing for those who suffered much pain and agony as they grew into themselves. It show the ugliness and reality of rejection by family friends and Society at large simply for being who you were born to be. It also showed the understanding and the acceptance that comes from unconditional love where you are accepted 100% for who you are and cherished. it made Old Fashioned Love cool again. I can't think of a better story. And the icing on the cake was the narrator. The narrator was magnificent. The way she expressed the deep emotions and feelings throughout this story really touched me. I'm convinced I will read this book many many many times.
