Best audio book

The advice in this book has really turned around my interactions with my daughter and has enabled me to almost universally nip her tantrums in the bud. As a work-at-home parent, this translates to more happiness, greater productivity, and much, much less stress.

All I have to say is that the ideas in this book WORK! it really is like magic! my twins have started actually listening to me! I feel like I am back in charge, rather than them!

Informative and interesting guide

Really helpful info when your kid is hitting that 2 1/2 - 3yr old boundary-pushing behavior and you feel like abandoning a gentle parenting approach, this helps you understand from their perspective and offers great advice.

good to listen

Turned my non-listening toddler into a kid I can talk to. Remaining calm is the hardest part about toddler discipline. If you can do that and state what you mean, it creates an amazing trusting relationship.

Easy to follow and good information.

Loved it, very informative and gives good alternatives as to spanking. definitely recommend book to first time moms.

Practical and Effective Gentle Parenting Advice

This book is laser-targeted at my needs and is the kind of book I have been waiting for! There are dozens of gentle discipline books out there, but often they are lengthy and more theoretical than practical. Here, Jamie manages to share an approach that is respectful of the child AND the parent in a way that is straightforward and practical. We started applying suggestions Jamie offered immediately and to great effect.
