The life of a farmed slime was cruel. Syl was constantly at the mercy of humans, a slime whose only purpose was to eat and recycle garbage. The threat of lethal core-destroying knives wielded by innocent children was a constant shadow. This was not the life Syl had envisioned. So, they made a daring escape to the wilderness!

Along the way, Syl discovered the joy of eating everything they encountered. But the local monsters weren't too thrilled with another creature moving in. Humans, dwarves, and elves see monsters as nothing but experience. Goblins see Syl as an exploitable resource.

With the odds stacked against Syl, the question of their survival loomed large. Could they not just survive but thrive? Could they unlock new magic and integrate new slime cores? The future was a vast, uncharted territory, but Syl was unwavering in their determination to explore it, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.

And the biggest question of all—

Can Syl make any friends?

Liked it but the sound was wierd sometimes

It was really cool! The sound was weird sometimes which took me out of it but other than that it was great!

Great Concept but Too Stat Heavy

Overall, this was a great book and I would definitely like to read any sequels when they are available. Syl is a much more complex character than I had thought. By the cover art, I pictured a happy little slime winning hearts and eventually going to mage school or something like that but in reality there is much more to her and the story. My only real complaint is that as the book progressed, the litRPG aspects of the book became so heavy that they pretty much became the whole story. Most conversations amoung characters have to do with levels, magic, etc. and the stat readings become so frequent that it felt like trying to watch a movie online with heavy buffering. I have to say I really, really, REALLY hated that aspect of the story. If the rest of the series is yet to be written, I would beg the author to have more of a real plot and less generic "level, level, level" nonsense.

A fun take on monster evolution litrpg

This was a throughly entertaining story on royal road and the audiobook only improved it.

12/10 would recommend

The short and sweet is that this is a great book and well worth the price.

it's a fun monster story with a satisfying mix of action, comedy and exploration. Can't wait for the next installment.

Fun relatively light hearted romp through a LitRPG.

I really enjoyed the tone in addition to the world and characters. No grim dark, no chip on the shoulder MC, just great fun and weak to OP progression.
