I loved this little book
I loved listening to the author narrate this little book which inspired me to start incorporating many of the simple ideas into my own life as I listened. I like that it's short enough to listen to again and again. Hygge is new to me but something that is impacting simple things in my life as I become more mindful of ways to make my surroundings and experiences 'hygge-ly'. It's definitely not difficult to do and I think it's already enriching my life. Highly recommend.

It Desreves More Than 5 Stars
I’m only a couple chapters in but in love with this book so far. It’s beautiful, well written, simple, and so very practical. I’m especially smitten with the chapter on work. I’ve been paring down my life so I can have time to actually enjoy the things I love most but paring down my work life has been the hardest. I love that she touches on this aspect too. I’d give this book 10 stars if I could.

Inspiring
A friend of mine that lives in Berlin was trying to describe what Hygge is to me and he was having a hard time finding the correct words. I started looking online for an good definition and came across this book. Although I loved listening to this book, I cannot wait to get a paper copy because there are so many friends that I want to share the magic of hygge with! I adore this book and look forward to living my life more hyggely!

This is such an enjoyable listen.
This is such an enjoyable listen. The author is likable, has a friendly author style, and makes hygge easy to understand. The chapters are simple to grasp and are punctuated with fun little illustrations. Once I opened it, I had a hard time putting the book down. Even after finishing it, I still enjoy picking it up and thumbing through it. Highly recommend.

Good listen book
A well listen book, although short and simple. I was able to listen this in a single evening. It was an interesting combination of an academic listen on studies behind hygge along with simple, practical steps that one could take to incorporate hygge into their life. The steps were more practical than other hygge books I have listen, and I Loved Loved Loved the incorporation of life with kids and kids getting to be more hygge into the book.

This book goes over why balance is important mentally, physically, financially, during holidays, travel, and in relationships to include those with the family pet! It was a fun and fast read with good information on the basics of finding that happy sweet spot in the middle of minimalism and excess.
