Down to Earth, realistic and empowering.

I don't need to be told precisely how to reach my fitness goals - how to eat and exercise - I really needed help with the mental and emotional parts, which is the main focus of this book. It was a huge help all-around. Highly recommended.

Funny, exciting, and informative real ways to be healthy starting from the psychology behind the madness of the health rat race.

I do love my body and who I am, and of course there is room for improvement; therefore I started this audiobook and continued listening because of the author, who is brilliant and hilarious. I did learn so much on the areas, which I need to pull my head out of my ass and change some habits. I do recommend this book to anyone. It is a life changer. I really appreciated the author since she did mentor me by making this audiobook.

Hilarious and full of solid information

The best compliment of my life was being told I talk like a “BAR full of sailors”. If I were to get off my lazy a** and write a self-help book, it may have been this one.
Yes, it’s chock full of information that many of us have heard before; especially if we have been on the weight-loss roller coaster at some point. I mean, a lot of this sh** is now common knowledge and can be found and compiled after hours of internet searching. Many of Duncan’s listeners already know this stuff and yet aren’t implementing it. For this, I really appreciate the author’s compassionate and humorous approach to a topic as heartbreakingly common as weight-loss. Duncan makes failing your way to success sound like FUN!
I love the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Motherf******. Duncan boils down her compiled evidence into 7 behaviors that most anyone can do, as she points out, even in a “half-a****” manner. Even halfway implementing a lot of this proven advice will result in fat loss.
My one gripe with the narration is her Canadian accent. My unsophisticated American ear cringed every time she said “draaah-muh”. Small price to pay for a good book though. Her overall narration was animated and her prose had me laughing out loud many times.
I have already recommended this book and will continue to do so.

Perfect Girlfriend Tough Love

Oonagh’s audiobook will crash into your sedentary life with a spicy blend of energy, sass and researched-backed habits that will help even the saddest, laziest, most forlorn “been there, don’t care” girl get back in the fitness ring. You’ve probably heard some of her advice before, but never delivered with such a fun, zero-BS approach to health. Five stars.

Loved it.

As a guy, it’s funny to hear the author saying “I got you, girl,” but this was an awesome and insightful audiobook. Already putting into practice the veggie rationing. Thank you!

Simple but effective

It’s a little crass and simplistic in comparison to some of the more scientific books on this subject, but I think this book will be easier to implement for most people. And it actually hits at the heart of the issue and gives really good advice on how to move towards creating positive and healthy habits that are good for everyone. One great take away for me was differentiating happiness and pleasure…as well as diets and habits. Really enjoyed this book and the positive vibes it sends!

Loved it!

I loved listening to this book. I may even listen to it again. I found the book to be informative and loved the voice of the reader (which is so important with these audio books). The book had some great take a ways.

Finally something that makes sense

Excellent!
So easy to listen to and enjoyable!
Finally found something that makes sense, as I found I am constantly confused about whats right to eat and whats not. Who the f knows with so many diet fads out there!

Lots of Good info

The author is clearly writing for a female audience but the information is good for all. I loved the truths that were told in this book and i am confident I can use these habits to change my overall health. I will listen again and continue to search for the “guy” version of this very book lol.

Blunt and to the point

I listened to this one. If you are offended by cussing, don't listen/read this book. Oonagh offers real life advise on how to get your healthy act together. It's amusing and I can say that I saw myself really well in her excuses that we all make. It does encourage us to like our self and be happy now if we want to get better down the road. It's a great self-help book. It does give some of the usual advise you might get, and you get it in a blunt manner, but these are the steps to get healthy and we need to acknowledge that, so suck it up buttercup. Narrator did a great job. I listened to this at 2x the speed just fine.
