I normally don’t leave a review but this was too good not to!
Everything was soooooooo perfect! From the story to the narrators bringing the words to life! There couldn’t have been anyone better to narrate this book.
I was not expecting the twist, Hawke deserves the best of the best. He went through sooo much. He didn’t deserve any of that! 😭😭

Jescie Hall has written an absolute masterpiece in this book. She has this ability to say so much while using few words. Hawke is beautiful, tragic, and all consuming. Avery Caris!!!! This performance by Avery was PHENOMENAL. It is completely evident that she dug deep for these emotions and had true passion for this project. Joe Arden has such distinction between the characters in this story that you immediately know who is who. Kid, Patrick, and Hawke each had unique voices and Joe wonderfully captured the individual personalities between all three. Hawke is absolute book boyfriend perfection <3

very good story. fmc point of view but duet narration so thats great. Joe Arden didn't have to go that hard, but he did and I'm here for it. Both narrators were amazing. there was at least one moment that felt confusing but maybe that was just me. there was another moment that was frustrating because you're like "just communicate" but it works out. The two narrators basically getting reduced to actual sobs really has you immersed. highly recommend.
