What the Duck Tate

Tate James never ceases to amaze me with the endings of her books! She leaves my jaw on the floor and rips my heart out every time. I loved Dear Reader so much, Ashley and the DB boys have my heart and now I’m going to wait to find out if I truly need to cry or not.

New favorite Tate story

I love having Tate back in my life 🤩🤩
This is definitely one of her best yet! I love the first book in a Tate series as we get to know the guys and the plot gets set up. I really admire Ashley as a FMC, she’s strong and determined to take zero crap from her new stepbrother and his friends. I enjoyed the set up of a secret journal and Ashley trying to uncover just how sinister the Devil’s Backbone society really is. 🤔🤔 the suspense is a perfect pace as you’re questioning just as much as Ashley is as new dangers pop up. As usual, it’s hard to decide on a favorite Tate MMC but I’m leaning towards Carter. There’s something about him 😅 BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT CLIFFHANGER???? Tate how could you make us wait for the next book like this????
Note: Full cast narration was absolutely phenomenal. All the male narrators knocked the guys out of the park and Lilly Drake was perfection for Ashley’s character

Story was perfection, performances were perfection, and that cliffhanger?! Ughhh…impatiently waiting for the next book!!

Tate does it again! This is the intro to a new series about a secret society that has so many twists and turns I'm speechless. The book ends in typical Tate James fashion with a huge cliffhanger. I can't wait for book 2!

Amazing!

at first I thought this was going to be a boring typical college boys harass the one girl who doesn't fit in trope blah blah blah...
but hang in there, the story and characters go on such a wild ride!

can't wait for the next two books!!!

Mindfudgery

Omg cliffhanger! What is it with these cliffies lately!! Dang it Tate that was brutal.

But this book is a wild ride of twists and turns and secrets and lies. I don’t know if my head fully processed everything! I’m going to have to do a re-read asap to just try and wrap my head around this.

Holy. Heck.

Ok first off, all the reviews I’ve seen for this say it’s spicy… it’s not. Maybe like three chapters but that’s it. There little of the Why-Choose trope in this so I’m not sure if I would label it that. But…. This was so good. And the ending. Had me gasping, gusping and holding my pearls. I literally hate myself for not waiting for the series to be done so I can rush to the second book. This is such a good murder/mystery/semi romance book. I cannot wait for the rest of it.
