This is not your typical Peter Pan retelling! This is dark! Peter is Hook and Hook is Peter!! Man has so many twists and turns. I love all the characters and different parts of the story that surprised me. What you thought you knew throw it out the window when you start this! Tink is a twat and evil and Tiger Lily is in cahoots with her…this was a roller coaster and I didn’t want to get off! I can’t wait for more!!

how the author wrote tink was probably my favorite and how Maxine performed her was absolutely perfect.

Spice was great, story was good, performance was immaculate!

Excellent descriptions that made it so you can picture their world along with the characters. The narrators were so incredible.

Hook is Peter
he became Hook after Wendy left, and went to the dark side
it was tink who kept them apart
Hook/Peter kidnapped Wendy 17 years later and brought her back to Neverland to help him get back what he lost ....what he lost was her
he has never been the same since she went back to there world....to London
he stayed in London for 10 years watching her seeing her get older while he got older.....he saw his twin daughters grow up
but he was only in London for 10 years Wendy was in London for 17
so he wud be 27 now and she is 34
Tink is the evil villain trying desperately change Peter to Hook and be dark with her...but she will never have him because he belongs to Wendy
and in this book Wendy is slowly bringing Pan back, making Hook disappear.....kinda
Wendy had to leave all those years ago because Michael was hurt so bad and couldn't return with Peter because tink and Peter's brother made it so she couldn't therefore breaking Pans heart but that didn't stop him from leaving London
but he understands why she did what she did....those words hurt him a lot but he gets it
evil forces threatening her to stay away from Pan

CHAPTERS 20 & 22 - DELICIOUS! MY FAVORITE PETER PAN RETELLING I'VE HEARD YET. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. & JOE ARDEN....PERFECTION AS ALWAYS. I USUALLY HAVE AN ICK WITH MAXINE MITCHELL'S VOICE (IDK WHY) BUT I CAN HANDLE IT BETTER WHEN IT'S SPED UP. THANK GOODNESS BECAUSE MOST OF JOE'S BOOKS ARE WITH MAXINE AND I WAS MISSING OUT ON A LOT BY NOT LISTENING TO ONES WITH HER IN THEM.

Absolutely enamored with Evelyn’s storytelling. Taking such a well known story and creating a new experience is not an easy feat, but to to do it so beautifully is just perfection.

The only thing that could improve the story was picking the right voices for the audio. Chefs kiss!

New to me author Evelyn Montgomery's retelling of Peter and Wendy is unique, thought provoking, emotional and passionate. The twist and turns are brilliant. This is a poignant and haunting story of love, loss, grief, redemption, and second chances. Bravo!!

Narrated by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden, they each brought their respective characters to life with a depth and nuance that is genuinely captivating.

A retelling like no other. I’m not a huge fan of any type of retelling. The only reason I have this one a try was honestly peer pressure. I can say this didn’t seem like a retelling except for the names obviously.
This will capture your attention from start to finish. It is done in such a way, you absolutely need part two.
Maxine and Joe do a phenomenal job. The way they switch the characters is amazing.
Between a great story and exceptional voice actors, this retelling made this Wendy a true believer.
