A resolution through understanding
I've been there - loving an avoidant partner can be draining on so may levels. This book, a fantastic listen, was complete with information and tools to better understand and therefore navigate the tumultuous waters within this type of relationship. These pages are helpful no matter your own attachment style. It truly shed some light on what I went through and I wish I'd had this book earlier to make it through without too much turmoil.

Clear insight into how they think
This book gave me so much insight into the mind of a partner who is like this. "An emotional riddle" is right, because it has seemed so difficult to understand. However, this author did a good job of teaching how these people think and why they do these things in a clear and easy to understand way.

A Healthy Way to Improve Your Relationships!
As a former (thank you therapy) disorganized attachment style individual the information you will learn about described me pretty accurately. I won’t say I would change anything in my life but I will say it would have been nice to have this book to give to my ex-girlfriends haha. The strategies are top notch and I will definitely be incorporating them into my next relationship even if my partner doesn’t identify as an avoidant. You will learn how to climb over the walls your partner has up (I won't say knock down as only the person who puts them up can knock them down). The journal prompts are *chef's kiss* and will make your relationship stronger. Truly an excellent listen and an absolute must-buy!

Easy to understand and comprehend
I have been following this author for awhile now so I was so excited to that she released her new book on Audible. I have not exactly been the best with my past relationships so over the past year or so I have been trying to figure out where things are going wrong. In the author's other books, they talk about attachment styles and it sparked my interest. What I love most about this author is they write in a tone that it feels like you're listening to a friend give you advice. There are several attachment styles but the author can easily break them down so they are easy to understand. What I found great in this book is that the book does not just focus on the avoidant partner but also you as their partner.
It's a great balance that I think will make the book stand out to others. Learning how to nurture your emotional health while managing your partner's style is the key takeaway from the book. So if you are like me and feel lost in understanding why you continue to have failed relationships, then learning about an avoidant partner is a great place to start. Learning to understand what it truly means to have a dismissive partner, what you can do, and what to expect has helped me a lot in making decisions about my relationships.
