These players are not angels. No angels would go where they go, nor do what they do to survive. Anthropologists shudder at the very idea of interfering with a native or indigenous people, but when the rewards are on the other side of those pesky savages, well, the opinions can change, all right. The single most despicable crime is against humanity, i, particular women and children, is what is called "trafficking." It is insidioius, as old as mankind himself, and damned hard to stop. Though Frost is not trained a killer, and barely trained a cop, she has a sensitivity toward the victims that is unmatched. Somehow, the Feds pick up on it and see a potential Knight Errant, one who can tilt at windmills, and maybe make a difference. They are proven right.
