Enjoyed

The narrator did a great job expressing people's moods into their speech, he was easy to understand and really helped pull the listener in. I liked the concept and plot but the two mc's seemed a little cold if you don't mind pardoning the pun lol When you're talking soulmates and a love like no other I would expect more romance to the story. But overall I enjoyed it and will look for more of T.J. Quinn's stories.

Unique SciFi Alien Romance

This is an enjoyable SciFi romance. The story was interesting and kept my attention throughout. It is a fairly short listen with under 5 hours of listening time. Zorban meets his soulmate when she is only 18 months old. An unusual costume for the prince to pick his soulmate from babies and then having to wait until she is an adult to marry her.

The narration was good and brought the story to life.

Zorban's soulmate is kidnapped right after he meets her. Although they search for her she is nowhere to be found. The story quickly fast forwards to when he has been living on Earth for several years and has given up ever seeing his soulmate.

The story is predictable but the characters don't figure everything out until the very end and it concludes with a sweet HEA.

Enjoyed this Short Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This alien romance was well written giving the listener a little bit of everything, suspense, thrill and romance. I thought the beginning was different when the Prince meets his sole mate who is only 18 months old. Weird. However, the rest of the story makes sense as it continues. This is one story that you want to stick to until the end. The narrator did a great job with the characters and their personalities. Some male narrators do a terrible job with the female parts, but this narrator didn't try too hard and the female characters came off perfect.

Interesting Story - Love the Narration

After years of frustration searching for his soulmate Zorban finally finds the one. Then she disappears without a trace. Zorban cannot claim the throne without a soulmate and so he travels to earth. Although I'm not a huge SciFi fan I really enjoyed this book by author T.J. Quinn. What I loved most was narrator Randi Johnson. I felt as if I was watching a movie. He brought characters to life in a way few narrators do. I hope Quinn and Johnson team up again and again. When/If they do, I'll be listening.

Outer Space Hotness

This was not one of my favorite types of story as I am not a big Sifi fan, but held my interest all the way. A mild tearjerker full of mystery. Why did his soulmate disappear, where did she go at such a young age, and when would Zoltan ever find love again? Zoltan is forced to leave his home planet by his Uncle who wishes to be King. Due to a crazy law that says a King must have a soulmate, Zoltan's Uncle plots against him by kidnapping the young child destined to be Zoltan's mate, then forces him to leave the planet. Zoltan ends up on Earth where he starts a new life. At his friends wedding he meets a captivating woman and his life changes, again. Steamy and exciting read. The narrator Randi Johnson, does a great job of bringing the voices to life. He is vastly improving with each new book. I look forward to new books and listens from them both.

LOVED IT!

I loved it. The narration was great and kept you entertained. The author did a good job with the character builds and plot. I read this book because any time I'm given the opportunity to listen to one of Randi Johnson's (the narrator) performances, I won't refuse it. I have listened to 4 books that were narrated by Randi Johnson and I can guarantee you'll be amazed at how he gives the story that extra flair! The H and h were so much alike that it was funny, although neither of them knew initially. Good story. Kept me listening to find out what would happen next and when they would figure it out. A sweet SciFi romance

This is a sweet romance story. The storyline is well thought out, and the characters are fairly well developed. There are sexy times, but nothing I would call erotica. There is some action toward the end of the book, and of course we get our HEA.

The one thing that really got on my nerves was the constant use of dialogue being described as "in a cold way" or "in a cold manner" or some other variation using the word "cold."

I thought the narrator did a very good job. His inflections were spot on, his characters were differentiated well, and it was a very smooth performance. As with a lot of male narrators, his female characters were not quite as easily identified, but he did as well as some I have heard.

A light paranormal romance.......

Zorban's Destiny is a paranormal romance, but it is fairly light on the paranormal elements. Other than the very beginning and the very end, this could be just a normal romance story about two lost people finding each other. Zorban is an alien living in disguise as a human on Earth after fleeing his home planet of Thalia. Zorban's father is king on Thalia, Zorban is next in line to the throne, and his uncle is constantly scheming to take the throne for himself. Although he has made a good life for himself on Earth, Zorban often feels the loss of his family, friends and entire way of life. Enter Leah, a reclusive artist living in Alaska, whose amazing ice sculptures make her talents sought around the country. However, she is completely alone in her world, with no family and no friends other than her pets. She was never close to either of her parents, and she is emotionally unavailable to the point that her acquaintances refer to her as the ice queen.

Quite by accident, Zorban and Leah meet and end up trapped together in her house during a severe snow storm. For days, they have only each other for company, and they develop a strong friendship and an even stronger passion towards each other. Of course, they are both hiding secrets from each other, and, between their own insecurities and plenty of interference from external forces, they have quite a challenge to reach an HEA. Luckily for the reader, this led to plenty of nail-biting scenes of both the action and the angst variety. Overall, I found this a very enjoyable paranormal romance, perfect for those preferring less world building and more relationship building in their love stories.

Randi Johnson does a great job with the narration. He has a very smooth voice, and he differentiates well between characters. I thought that he handled both male and female voice well, and his narration definitely added to my appreciation of this audiobook.

An allien romance....

Zorban lost his chance at the throne, and was cast away. He lives on Earth, amongst humans. His life is great, just missing a soulmate. The story is imaginative, and although you want to scream at Zorban for missing what he has infront of him, the thrill to know what's next keeps you listening.

I enjoyed the storyline but wasn't as keen on the writing style and found the narration a bit over the top for my tastes. but all In all still a good book to listen too.

Really enjoyed the story and the narrator

I really enjoyed this book. The narrator was great and the story kept me interested all the way through. I liked the way that I knew what was going on before the characters. It did make me start wanting to point stuff out to them, but not in a bad shouty way, more in a I know something and you don't way. I also liked the idea behind the story...wonder if it could really happen???

Forced to make a new life was the right decision

I received this audible book from Audiobook Obsession for a fair and honest review. The story was fun, fast paced, romantic and of course the best part had a HEA. I enjoy Sci-fi and PNR, could relate to storyline, Zorbans loss of his soulmate Lena having to leave because of the circumstances and not wanting to return making a new life for himself on another planet. Was happy for him finding a love with Leah. Leah (Lena) herself was an interesting character making ice sculptures and her extraordinary abilities. I think Zorban knew deep down when he jumped into the truck with her that snowy night that she was more than just a pretty woman he was attracted to. Want to believe that anyway.
I was only dissatisfied with one thing and that was the narrator, I don’t think he was a good fit for this story. Don’t get me wrong he had an appealing voice just not for this book.
